  1. The default in summer here certainly isn't cool, wet and cloudy but rather warm, dry and partly cloudy, most of the cloud sticks to inland areas. Winter though is definitely mild, wet and windy!
  2. December 2015 was very mild (almost warm) and fairly dry down here by December's standards. I realise though that it was extremely wet further north and west.
  3. I agree ciaran definitely deserved its name, imagine if they hadn't sent out the warnings and it tracked further north? Nobody would trust the met office again!
  4. Oh I realise that, what I mean is, last year there were practically no named storms anywhere even though there were quite a few vicious storms. This year they seemed to have lowered the bar required to name one. Maybe I'm wrong?
  5. Fair enough, zero consistency with these named storms is there.
  6. I am quite enjoying these actually. Entertaining!
  7. There is barely a breeze across the UK, and a bit of rain. Nothing like a storm?
  8. There seems to be no consistency on storm naming from year to year, last year there were quite a few storms that would've easily warranted a name had they happened this year, but this year they seem to be naming every other low pressure system. It seems to me that one year they lower the bar but the next they raise it?
  9. What country is this for because it certainly isn't the uk
  10. Another wet December, don't mind wet if it comes in the form of storms, at least that'll bring some Interest for us down here!
  11. Well it's only on top for consecutive 32c days isnt it? For example august 2020 beats 1976 in consecutive 34c+ days so it depends on how you compare. I mean,it's like a game of top trumps, 1976 and 1995 don't win on every single compartment.
  12. Ill try late September- early October 2011 if that's allowed?
  13. It will be mild but also very wet, pretty pointless if your stuck indoors with the heating on anyway?
  14. Not sure if we're allowed to go back this far, but I'll try may 1833.
  15. For me autumn was exactly as I like it, hot summery start, wet and stormy middle, cold and frosty end. Would've liked a few more Atlantic storms but hey ho!
  16. Your not allowed to be interested in snow because it doesn't exist.
  17. February 2019 obviously the most extreme example. In fact it could even be described as summer-like. Which is funny because it snowed at the beginning of the month. I'm not so sure about December 2015, while it was warm, it didn't feel like spring but rather an extreme mild winter month there was basically no sunlight whatsoever, at least here anyway
  18. Your location really hit the sweet spot, if the background signals hint at this winter being back loaded as pointed out numerous times, then it could be one hell of a winter up your way!
