  1. This Is like a sick joke from the weather, that is literally 20-30 miles from an epic snowstorm. I missed last Mondays snow as I was out the country, sods law
  2. You can all thank me for the snow you get monday onwards as that's when I'm flying out the country. Typical!
  3. Wow, don't think it's often I'm in the dullest area of the country!
  4. I'm glad 1976 is gone, it's longevity was astonishing but has no match for the pure potency of today's style heatwaves. At least it opens up the competition.
  5. I haven't seem more than a sugar coating since March 2013, I'm aware though that my location doesn't help.
  6. Oh right, fair play. A blustery sunshine and showers type day here, nice cloudscape around and 11c
  7. Not correct, you have no idea what's going to happen in a week, and neither do the models.
  8. Autumn and early winter Squalls are quite good here sometimes as the sea temps are still relatively warm, good for convection on the coast.
  9. Best squall of the year here, haven't seen white out rain and hail like that for a few years with the added bonus of thunder and lightning. All depends on if you hit the sweet spot or if you find yourself in a gap I suppose.
  10. You can actually see where the broken line segment curves exactly where that waterspout was spotted, off the NE of the Isle of white.
  11. I don't know, I usually only get thunderstorms from warm uppers being Spanish plumes.
  12. Sounds like you had quite the year for storms, think I only had one storm here this year early in the morning around 6am some time in June.
  13. Actually quite a nice day down here, blue skies, some clouds 12c but windy.
  14. I suppose it makes sense if you think about it, these places you mentioned being sunnier or 'less cloudy' are in the Lee of mountains like the Pennines and the Highlands in predominately W/SW winds. Down here we have nothing to block SW moisture laden winds
  15. According to the cet, every month this year has been above average, its looking like the first year ever to have all 12 months above the 69-90 averages.
  16. Fair enough, never thought I'd see you say it! I haven't seen a good snowfall since 2013 so it seems I'm getting slightly impatient, where as I know summer warmth is a given down here! I'll be getting an early spring in Morocco on the 8th of January so I'm happy!
  17. As much as I love cold weather in winter, this year I seem to find myself yearning for early spring.
  18. Kind of like a july day here, but replace the sand with shingle!
