I’m surprised to see them forecasting rain and sleet considering most of Scotland is remaining in the cold sector
Maybe going safe saying a high ground event
I still think its likely to be a high ground event but i can see a couple cm to low levels inland north of the central belt mainly.

UKV was spot on for the Scotland snow Weds/Thurs last week
I don't remember doing it particularly well until the snow started falling out the sky. Often favours sleety mess then favours snow when the snow actually starts. I suspect the snow tomorrow afternoon will be much more widespread in some places than the met office have forecasted.

Raining here sadly and barely any cover left from last night in the garden, onto the next hunt.... Brilliant pics and great to see 101 getting the type of snow deep enough to really have fun in. Charts seem to keep the theme of colder but marginal briefly mild then colder marginal over last few weeks so hopefully get a dry snow fall before winters out and if not we can just talk home schooling in the thread
Traffic cams don’t look that exciting in inveralmond. How much did you get there. Managed 3cm. Grandparents in Dunfermline got about 8-10cm.

Out with dog... Does not feel chilly
Pouring rain
Maybe will turn later and I will get some 101 (modern speak for snow)
Been snizzle snow here for an hour , 0.2C , you need a bit of heavier intensity for it to turn to snow and it will likely stay like that.

Ha ha, that's all they EVER show for this location. This past two weeks they've shown sleet 24hrs a day, EVERY day
Meanwhile it's been snowing here steadily for the last 90 minutes or so but maybe only 1mm to show for it.
what elevation are you at?

Sooooo.... d'ya want to eat the yellow snow or the brown snow? Ya makes ya choice, ya takes ya chances...
I'm still not sure why there is no warning for areas across Fife and Perthshire.

This is our gold standard Met Office! Are you trying to tell me they get things wrong now and then!?UKV tends to under do precipitation rather than over do it.

Just accepted no snow then back in the game.... I hope if we do get it temps fall behind it as a slush fest here now.
UKV for us has about 4-6 hours of wet snow i would say. Bit uncertain on how cold it will get.

The met office removed the yellow warning for snow and ice for here
Just means we can batter them if we all get buried.

Any idea how the wind strengths looking? In a teams meeting and trying not to be too distracted
Doesn’t look to bad, little bit of wind but no “ Blizzards “ , although later in the night into daylight hours it looks to pick up with gusts of 30-40mph, but no snow around really.

For Perth?
Yes and most of eastern Scotland, good 4 hours of snow again it seems. Though latest Icon is less keen. 06z runs will be crucial but regardless its going to be a nowcast event.

Was quite the opposite here. Started as sleety rain then when those yellows and oranges came through on radar dinner flakes started to mix in which became all mostly snow for a good 10 minutes or so but just about scraped a dusting here.
