How confident are you on this could it flip to something more interesting for colder pattern
Of course anything is possible but with the current trends i have to agree with him with the zonal westerly pattern , however i do think high pressure will gradually move up from the south in the 10-20 day time frame before that high pressure either going towards Scandinavia or more towards Greenland in the 20-30 day timeframe.

Looking through each of the ECM ensemble members at 114 hrs and the number of possible scenarios in the synoptic pattern is pretty varied. Would say the Operational run is an example of a more low pressure dominated pattern at 114hrs.

Had some light-moderate snow up here in Perth but snow struggled to maintain intensity and temperature was just to warm for much settling to happen. 3rd day of seeing snow flakes falling out the sky here , and 1 day with a light covering of snow which was Sunday morning.

"A bit behind schedule" yea a year or two is a long time to wait considering we are paying.
i did have the subscription a few months ago , but not anymore due to the extremely long waits for updates, particularly the UKV updates.

We're frequently adding updates to the radar @Mark Clifford, is there something in particular you're waiting on or hoping to see?
I think he is referring to the UKV charts more than anything else and i mean, he isn't wrong about how long its been.

Not yet, but maybe in the next few days
Hopefully the many months wait is worth the result!

When is next version of the radar due Paul
I am honestly happy with the V8 at the moment, more wanting some new stuff come on UKV as its been about a year and a bit since there has been any major changes away from a couple of charts added earlier in the Winter.

Evening all,
Aside from the glorious week of wintry conditions, February has been dire in terms of weather here with rainfall sitting at around 220% of normal and sunshine just 47% of normal. The monthly mean temperature now sitting at -0.4c. (All figures Leuchars). Still I would take the three weeks of crap for one memorable snowy spell all over again!
Certainly looks drier as we head into March. I’ll soon be on haar watch
Waking up to Haar makes me physically ill. Ruins the morning.

Any suggestions for sites to track rainfall totals since SEPA is still down?
Personal Weather Station Dashboard | Weather Underground
WWW.WUNDERGROUND.COMWeather Underground provides local & long-range weather forecasts, weather reports, maps & tropical weather conditions for locations worldwide.you could use sites like Weather Underground or you can use Radar Estimates on Netweather radar. The Weather Underground site is a large colony of Person weather stations therefore the accuracy is highly variable.

I'm a little concerned about the flooding potential around here - the burn on the South Inch was level with the top yesterday and appeared to be stagnant, so something must be blocking it. I hope the Council have sorted it out today, as otherwise we'll get what we had in August when the water flooded the Edinburgh Road, Marshall Place and several side streets, as well as the whole South Inch pretty much.
Fields around the River earn to the west of Bridge of Earn were well Flooded Sunday afternoon. Could be a interesting couple days.

Will send in some pictures later but ended up with 28-29cm level here SE of Perth. Those depths didn’t even cross my mind 48 hours ago. Was expecting 15-20cm at very best. The last 48 hours here saw some of the most relentless snowfall rates I have ever seen. Exceeding 3” per hour at times and lasting 15-30 minutes at a time. I am just going to round my numbers up to a foot of snow. I wonder how long the snow shovel piles will last?

This doesn't quite make up for all of those, but it's pretty much the best snowfall here since 2010 and I am kinda hoping we get a bit more overnight too
I hope everyone is enjoying the snow if you have it and if you don't, I know exactly what that's like too!
27-28cm here now. This snow is beyond my expectations!
