    Quite agree, I’m seeing small but important changes which will shape how the latter part of Christmas goes, and beyond.

    Hmm, for the big day quite different to the 12z with that colder air so close. I won’t say if though (though I probably just have!).

    It is the quest for nirvana! The charts tease you in, then muck around with your emotions, but keep you coming back for more. Should be a health warning on the sites .

    Yep, winter is out there, not on your tablet or device looking at some coloured charts which provide a rollercoaster.

    -4c here which by the water and so early on in the evening is some going. Quite what it will drop to, but could be our coldest night so far.

    Just watching the latter stages of the GFS 6z and for me comparing to the 0z from Tuesday onwards it all looks very mobile thereafter. Brave anyone calling anything as we head towards Christmas at mo. Could be that more runs are actually needed!!

    After 4 weeks, the council still haven’t fixed my street lampost light which went out. So inconvenient!

    Well GFS is suggesting less milder air now on it’s latest run, and we’ll see if that trend continues on the next run.

    Too true, it’s looks blocked but mobile at the same time so nothing should be off the table at this stage. The very interesting watching goes on!

    A lot of ‘flirting’ charts! And as we know even with this one a whole 10 days out it won’t end up like this. Every possibility of everything keeping the interest in model output going .

    Certainly have been looking forward to these runs on these chilly days. Like this evening in Qatar, most have got their fingers crossed the models pick up another scenario and nirvana for the big period. But I’ll take anything at the mo!

    Rather than a general fairly quiet cold nothingness, appears to be some stronger systems making their way out to the NE on the latter frames of ECM. Need some oomph to get the very cold in, and these might provide some momentum this way in time.

    If I’ve got the right low, perhaps that might be better for us further down the line?

    As I type GFS is still churning out, but I can’t look any further than 240, maybe a bit before that. The position of the low is a big question mark, so what lies beyond that is quite meaningless at this stage. Just how will the low go!
