What does it mean when you see a green meteor? The emerald hue of a green shooting star is believed to carry mystical significance. Legend has it that this celestial marvel is an omen, a harbinger of good fortune and prosperity. When luck graces your path in the form of a green shooting star, seize the moment, for destiny has aligned the cosmos in your favor. --- (If you see two, you've had it).

Winter 2023/24 Chat and Discussion

CEO of my main client is in buffalo NY. He just messaged me about the weather there - 65mph gusts and snow showers that could deliver anything up to 3 feet of snow. (Could also be zero — depends on the wind direction off lake eerie, which is not frozen this year and generating loads of lake effect snow). anyway he said if you want a ring side view, the NFL playoff is tomorrow and will go ahead almost no matter what. Probably on sky here and some online options. He’s going with his 10 year old, the fool. -

Be lucky to get a flight into Chicago atm though. The Midwest storm now is insane with record setting blizzards to the north and severe thunderstorms on the SE side. Surprised it’s not in the news more. -

It’s -8 in Oslo and snow forecast. Return flights about £40. If you’re that desperate for winter, off you pop. -
That model thread is just hilarious. It’s like some sort of groupthink experiment with bonus points for hyperbolic comparisons and pointless oneupmanship. Read a bunch of posts about the output being “bad“ and naturally assumed that meant cold and heavy snow, but of course it means the opposite. In winter. But in summer, bad means cold and rain. Obviously. anyway I know next to nothing about forecasting but I watched the metoffice outlook, and a picture provides a thousand answers If the question is: “what’s going to stop the snowy spell?”:
