  1. Next week I’d looking like a truly horrific week Probably one of the worst this year! I kind of can’t be bothered to go to Cornwall now!
  2. I personally don’t want the heat to end because when we have average temperatures of 20-23C it’s often overcast. If next week has a few thunderstorms amongst sun that will be great but in this country it’ll be probably be dull.
  3. No sorry but cold and snow is far more interesting than mild. I am personally hoping for an autumn/winter like this: Sunny, hot Sep, very wet Oct/Nov (to ease drought), cold, snowy Dec/Jan, springlike but wet Feb/Mar. This way if it’s dry in the summer again the drought won’t be such a problem.
  4. Today has been cool but I’ll take it as next week is pretty much summer weather perfection for many. Warm to moderately hot and sunny days and cool nights (other than Sat/Sun). While mid July was great to experience I’m sure next week’s weather will be more pleasant and liveable.
  5. Last night was the first chilly night in ages. I was really cold working outside last night it felt like a spring evening. One thing noticeable about this summer has been muggy evenings.
  6. July 2022 here in the midlands was a sandwich month. Poor start, mostly hot and sunny from 7-19 July and average but dull from 20 July onward. I feel like here we get a mix of what people in the NW and SE say. I can usually relate to both at different times. On another note, August has started finely.
  7. It changes at the perfect time: Halloween week. The darkness matches the dark, spooky autumnal vibe around Halloween. If it changed at any other time, it would be depressing.
  8. We had high pressure in August 2021 and it was a month of constant anticyclonic gloom! Please not a repeat of that drab month
  9. This has been a phenomenal day for almost the entire UK (or yesterday if you are in the far west). Records completely obliterated widespread across the nation and its especially notable for the north. The wind when I was sat in the car was blowing HOT air which I’ve never felt before. It’s quite surreal actually.
  10. May, June and especially July were that great, you didn’t need a good August for it to be a golden summer. 2013 and 2006 were goodens too.
  11. So as of yet we have not beaten the record today but Wales has a new record. Hopefully England and Scotland will have new ones tomorrow
  12. This heatwave is looking crazy but what’s it looking like after the heatwave? I hope it remains warm and sunny because 2022 will not be a classic if end up with weeks on end of crud from Wednesday.
  13. The peak heat was originally Saturday then it was Sunday, then Monday and now Tuesday! It makes me wonder if it gets pushed back anymore will it ever arrive?
  14. Uh oh! Well I’m glad I’m going to be in Kent on Monday then!
  15. Stunning period of weather coming up At least a week of sunshine and heat, which is unlike a normal one day wonder when if you blink you’ll miss it!
  16. Horrid first week of July with temps of 16-20C I wonder if it will be a month of anticyclonic gloom like August 2021.
  17. What a perfect day! 30C and barely a cloud in the sky! Just relaxing at Drayton Manor in the sun. Weather is looking good from Monday again too.
  18. It’s looking really glorious for the next few days but I’m hoping there isn’t going to be too much cloud around to enjoy it, especially Friday.
  19. 2022 has been very benign so far. It has been like a combination of 2012 and 2014 I have found. January and March were mild, dry and sunny like 2012 whilst February (mild/wet), April (average) and May (warm/dull) like 2014.
  20. I feel sorry for any communities who chose today instead of Thursday or Friday for their street party ️ What a difference between Thu/Fri to Sat/Sun! Barely 11C today!
  21. Bloody hell it’s looking dire for Sunday It’ll be just like the Diamond jubilee and then after that there’s a huge downgrade for the rest of the week too! Take me far away from this island!
  22. Our climate is much worse than San Francisco. Yes, it may be unpleasantly cool with fog often during summer but they get much more sun and they can get random heatwaves at any time of year unlike here. Out of habitable climates only Iceland, Norway, Greenland, Alaska’s Aleutian Islands and the Scottish islands are worse than ours.
  23. I’ve noticed in this warmer spring nature is significantly ahead of last year. My lupins are fully out now and last year didn’t start blooming until the very end of May.
  24. It seems to be heating up next week ??It seems however there is never any record breaking heat in May compared to other months. What is the earliest and latest ever 30C in the U.K.?
