  1. We have pockets of blue sky and the sun trying to poke through. Fingers crossed it'll come out before lunch, currently sat here in a woolly cardigan and like some members very tempted to put the heating on but can't justify it in June.
  2. More cloud around today although that was to be expected, surprisingly warmer than I thought it was going to feel especially after the glorious day yesterday. Sun trying to break through so really hoping for some nice late evening sunshine but overall its so far been a good bank holiday weekend weather wise.
  3. I realised after I typed it, I completely apologise to anyone in those areas today.
  4. Excuse me for sounding dumb but I'm assuming Lockerbie is somewhere up Scotland, in which case I do apologise as you guys are the only ones today who seem to have struck unlucky with a slight cold/rain front across you.
  5. I did the same thing with some of my mum's tanning lotion except I rubbed my hands in it and ended up going to school with one half of my hands white, the other dark brown. I will add I was really young when I did it
  6. It must be one of the first days this year virtually all the UK are enjoying the crystal clear skies and warmish temps.
  7. Tbf we come into contact with plenty of chemicals each day we just don't think about it. Also I'm not an advocate for/or trying to peddle self tan, don't use the stuff personally having sensitive skin but pointing out its a healthier way of getting a tan reducing the risk of skin damage from uv radiation.
  8. Best years for cold has to be early 2009 and best year for the summer was 2003 hands down.
  9. gfs looking tasty out in fi, hopefully these charts can be pulled off and summer is finally on the way.
  10. Bit of a cloud fest this morning, was clear around dawn this morning but quickly clouded over, said to brighten up later on but I can't moan as further west we have been spoiled in sunshine amounts compared to the east and south east and tbf its said to be a glorious week overall.
  11. I know, I thought it was a blip and anything can change 10+ days out (hope not, I'm enjoying this spell of warmth ). Possibility of pushing the 25c bracket.
  12. I have to agree, it was suggestively shaped
  13. To be fair it's the first morning I've gone on the school run without a coat and I've sent the kids in without their jackets too, we all feel the cold differently so I never judge
  14. wouldn't surprise me either, I've put shorts on for the first time this year and don't feel the need for longer sleeves. Definitely far from hot but feeling a lot more May like than we have had. Hope it long lasts
  15. agree there, its already at 17c here and it felt very warm from the get go, almost a complete turn around from the beginning of the week. Hopefully its the start of summer finally returning to the UK.
  16. True, and considering the original forecast was rain and got changed at the last minute its been really pleasant. Cool in the breeze but lovely in the sunshine.
  17. hopefully the promise of another warm up at the end of the week verifies, I can't deal with this endless winter no more.
  18. 100% it was a shocker walking out the door this morning especially after being treated to a spring like weekend.
  19. Same here its been clear since around mid morning and been one of the first days of the whole season to feel somewhat remotely spring like. I think west is best for sunshine today and have also been rather shocked to see the bbc app change tomorrows forecast from rain to sunny although it remains to be seen but as far as today goes I'm really pleased and the mood positively lifted
  20. Looks like one is passing to the s/e of here, nothing notable from this end at the moment
  21. Not hearing anything yet but this is looking like it's got potential
