  1. UKV does have very high winds in that area from 2-4
  2. Models have between 10-1 as the peak for your area, but yes I think the terrain is likely limiting your gust speeds which models aren't the best at simulating.
  3. Next few hours should see quite a lot of 80-100 mph readings in Scotland I would expect.
  4. Heavy rain and possible squall lines to come in the next hour as well for our areas.
  5. Think we will see higher gusts over the next couple of hours in Central and Eastern areas as this large area of rain moves over the country.
  6. Think there's a good chance quite a few sites in Scotland beat these in the early hours from 12-3
  7. Will probably peak around midnight for you, could well see 70-80 mph gusts.
  8. UKV is often very poor with rainfall I've found, embarrassingly so on occasion.
  9. Think your location has been lucky to be honest.
  10. Weatherobs WEATHEROBS.COM Global weather observations (METAR, SYNOP, BUOY, SHIP, TAF, CWOP) decoded to enable display of latest temperatures, weather, snow depths, precipitation, wind and wave conditions and more Most stations on here have gusts included.
  11. Yes been tracking that also, will be named with largest impacts in Ireland and Northern England late on Tuesday and Scotland overnight
  12. 1-3AM looks like the peak in Scotland per latest modelling, expect widespread very high gusts during this period.
  13. FWIW with the event already ongoing, the ICON 15z run is a tiny bit deeper with marginally higher gusts than the 12z run. https://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/icon-eu.php?ech=3&mode=2&map=510 Max wind gusts for the storm for each run below.
  14. £10 power banks from Amazon are useful as a backup.
  15. Models do seem to differ on the wind arrival times, ICON doesn't have notable winds arriving until 7PM for your area, check out Rafales 1H chart here. With Met Office warning not coming in force until 6PM wouldn't expect much yet. https://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/icon-eu.php?ech=3&mode=11&map=510
  16. UKV 12z has it peaking from 8-10PM in Central South and South East regions, Amber warning doesn't come into effect until 6PM.
  17. 93mph in Ireland on low ground recently as a squall line moved through.
  18. Rain has arrived now and winds will peak in 2-3 hours and remain high until midnight
