  1. It was so severe, I had to change out of shorts and put some trackie bottoms on lol. Feels positively chilly out there now.
  2. And for those who don’t like heat. Best of both worlds. All in all looking very pleasant with plenty of the all important sunshine.
  3. Nearly at yesterday’s max. A few bits of poxy cloud occasionally getting in the way.
  4. 28C breached here in a period of lighter winds. Also the hottest day since August 6th last year.
  5. Breezy again today but lovely out there. The sky looks like what you get on holiday in the Med but without the high temperatures.
  6. I think the he was referring to the more recent days being standard conditions for June. Indeed, a lot of this month has not been June like at all, better over the last week though.
  7. Just got off the plane from Malta and it may as well be the beast from the east! Heatwave mon derrière!
  8. Other than a bit too much fair weather cloud around, it’s a lovely summers day! 21.8C
  9. The southwest is wonderfully obvious on the satellite this afternoon being completely clear. Wonderful sunshine all day today, still with a cool wind, but lovely nonetheless.
  10. Looks like the most notable thing about next week will be the humidity! In that respect, I’m quite glad I’ll be in sunny Malta, baking rather than boiling. Still a bit miffed at missing the best opportunity for storms in ages though.
  11. As hoped - within a few miles of the coast, the skies cleared and it's quite sunny here in Saunton. Much cloudier further inland.
  12. And we start the first of three sunny days with full cloud cover and spots of rain... Great. Off to Saunton Sands today so hoping for sun there!
  13. Funny you should say that. I've noticed the slightest autumnal look to some trees' colour in places. It's certainly not down to heat stress...
  14. Trust me to go away for five days on Sunday when the weather could potentially feel summery in THIS country! No doubt when I get back the following Friday, the Arctic northerly will be well entrenched across the UK lol.
  15. Fine by me lol. Outside all afternoon so don’t want rain.
  16. A lot of the rain on the radar isn’t actually falling here but the sky looks ripe!
  17. Could always try Somerset. I'm a little too close to the Severn Estuary but just inland often benefits from SW-NE convergence zones in rPm airmasses in the warmer half of the year, which hit me directly when there's more of a SSW-NNE element. We get affected by at least half of the number of plumes. Equally, slack easterlies bring homegrown storms to the area. There are of course plenty of occasions when we miss out but then again each situation is unique.
  18. Cloudy and threatening rain, just in time for outdoor plans to begin.
  19. Shock horror - a dry day! Even more of a shock, surpassing 20C... just.
  20. is it no longer possible to view the FV3 on N-W? I've tried three times on the Charts & Data page and can only view the old GFS.
  21. Have had some lengthy sunny spells so far today and feeling warm at just shy of 20C. Better than expected, but still time for the drizzle curse to rear its head.
