  1. Sunny with light cloud this morning. Lovely satellite view of the low!
  2. Sunshine strikes again here in the West Country! Looks a bit more inclement into next week, hopefully in the form of heavy showers.
  3. Well, the 'cell' of sorts moved overhead and has delivered a drizzly mess lol. Really lost its intensity moving inland.
  4. Interesting cell has been parked over the Severn Estuary for over an hour now - white in the centre of it on the radar so must be pretty intense.
  5. It’s a beautiful day here. Briefly hit 24C before more of a westerly breeze picked up. Full sunshine though!
  6. It’s an unusual setup at the moment but even more unusual if it were March given how Atlantic dominated the month is. Perhaps more expected in mid Jan - Feb when Atlantic fronts come up against a big block. This slack pattern looks set to continue to months end at least with perhaps some convective potential early-mid next week depending on how much clag is left over.
  7. All a bit too far east for here but I’ll keep eyes peeled on any distant lightning.
  8. All a bit too far east for here but I’ll keep eyes peeled on any distant lightning.
  9. What a night! Beautiful lightning displays. Briefly had some torrential rain at about 01.30 from storm number 2. Very little in the way of thunder though. Overall very impressive and more similar to July 2013 than the 2014/17 storms.
  10. Renewed lightning to my SSW after round one went up and over Bristol. Really odd having lightning to my east, west and south a clear sky above.
  11. Suddenly very frequent lightning to the SW. Occasional audible thunder too.
  12. Suddenly very frequent lightning to the SW. Occasional audible thunder too.
  13. A few spots of rain from some heavy skies above. Still 29C though.
  14. Thanks Andy! Done well for heat and/or thunder over the years. Will never forget the early hours of 23/7/13. Want to see how high the temperature can get.
  15. 30C breached here along with flying ants and unwelcome intermittent cloud.
  16. Thick fog first thing which quickly burned off and now it’s lovely. 23.8C and sunny.
  17. Well despite stubborn cloud that hung around all day, much longer than expected, it still reached 25C here. Tomorrow better be sunny!
  18. Indeed, it wasn’t showing cloudiness this afternoon at all. This morning, yes. A bit like the unexpected rain patches yesterday.
