    Evening all, Its still looking mild over the Alps, I am really hoping things will change before we get to Salzburg on the 21st December, its going to be my only ski fix of the season!! Fingers crossed FC

    Morning all rather quiet start to the day in SE Essex, no wind, no rain ( at least that was what it was like when I left at 5am), its also pretty quiet in Central London so far. FC

    Morning all Its been chucking it down here in Southend for the last couple of hours, I thought this band was supposed to be more showery in nature. No sign of the rain stopping at the moment either. FC

    Afternoon all, Its been quite a while since I have been on here, mainly because I have been outside enjoying the summer weather. A couple of flashes and rumbles of thunder followed by about 5 mins of light rain here in Central London (Victoria) and it all seems to be over for now... UPDATE: clouding over again with a little more light rain and distant rumbles LOL updating the update - heavier rain and loudish thunder now over Victoria Cheers FC

    Evening all I've been up north all this week, so I have been missing the improving spring like weather you have been having in the SE, I am hoping to get my share when I head even further South tomorrow. Harrogate managed to hit 11 degrees today according to my car, and although there are crocuses out every where it does not feel the better weather has reached Yorkshire yet. Driving down to Southend this afternoon I did get 16 degrees as I reached Cambridgshire, before the sun began to drop... the wife said it was 24 degrees in SW France today, I hope they can hang on to it until I get there tomorrow afternoon :-) Take care one and all FC

    Morning Well my tin of de-icer remains firmly sealed again, I really don't think I am going to have to open it this winter. It was a bit fresh this morning on my walk to the station but no sign of a frost. Regards Darren

    A clear blue sky this morning in Nottingham, went out at 7:30 this morning and no frost in the city today, my de- icer remains unopened this winter. If I finish work in time it will be nice to get out for a walk under the blue skies.... Cheers FC

    Evening all I just walked back from dropping my car off at the garage for its MOT, and there were clear skies, no wind, and just staring to get a bit chilly, a nice winters evening here in Southend. The calm before the next storm! Cheers FC

    Evening all, I've just driven down from Harrogate to Southend, (A1, A14, M11,) I was quite suprised how little rain there was, plenty of spray from all the lorries (where do they all come from/go), but not much in the way of heavy rain, have we escaped the worst of it again on the Eastern strip....     I'm afraid it is going to be the same as here, I live in France, at least at the weekends, and the whole of North West Europe is getting this battering. I hope you have a good weekend inspite of the weather, Paris is a great place... Cheers FC

    The wind has really got up here in Nottingham over the last hour, the flag and pole on top of Nottingham Castle is really straining at times , luckily the pole appears to have a lot of flex in it. Not much rain so far... FC

    I will just about escape before the worst of the weather hits the SE this afternoon, unfortuately at home in SW france its just as bad, our local river, The Charente, has burst its banks in the town centre and it looks like its going to be another wet weekend.     The Cairngorms are struggling with the sheer amount of snow fall this year, the ski areas are open for a day or so, then closed because of wind and blizzards again.... hopefully the spring season will be good one for them. FC
