Well today has been a shock to the system. 14c in Warminster and persistent rain. Very different to the mid 40c of Abu Dhabi. We have put a log on the fire

We have 45c as a normal temperature. It gets higher but the killer is humidity. I can just about do 49c dry heat but 40c and 90% humidity is horrid
-
Last night was unpleasant. It was around 90% humidity and even with aircon I could not sleep very well. We have just started with humid weather. It was 29c this morning and the floor was wet with humidity, not nice. While this afternoon it is 44c but the humidity has reduced. In the shade it is farm more pleasant than this morning. 48c dry heat is hard work but much nicer than when it is humid. Obviously you don't get this in the UK but I find pre Thunderstorm humidity unbearable in comparison in the UK

I can't moan really. I choose to live here. We have aircon which we leave on at night time. Last year in France was tricky when it was warm at night as I was used to having aircon so it was hard to sleep. They chill the water in swimming pools when it is really warm, which sound awful but is soooooo nice
-
Even the bus stops have aircon. It's heating up now, 44c is a regular temperature now. I'm suffering from Vitamin D deficiency partly due to not going out in the sunshine.

I dream of 22c. It was 30c at 6.30am here. Looking forward to some cool walks in the summer when were are back in the UK

Looks like North Yorkshire are getting some. Sutton Bank and Stillington have a good covering http://www.northyorks.gov.uk/article/24608/Road-cameras-and-weather-conditions

Having moved I am used to very little movement year round on sunrise/sunset times. General it's between 5.30-6.30am and 6.30-7.30pm. I must admit that I had forgotten that feeling of sadness around this time in the UK where I used to dread the long dark nights. Having said that, I have just spent a month in France enjoying late, long lingering sunsets. Here sunsets go in five minutes. Try to enjoy the variety

Me too, we are in Versailles. Might nip over to the bar across the road as not the best view from the hotel -

dont say this. We are up in the Paris/Versailles area from Wednesday until Sunday when we are supposed to fly out. I'm happy for a storm but don't fancy being delayed -
Summer 20 15 isn't working in France at the moment. Hopefully it will be working again by the weekend, I've had my fill of rain now.

Had some very heavy burst of rain but alas the storms have tracked to the North of us. Pity as we would be right under them had it been tomorrow night. Looking like there is still some possible action for the UK P.s, I'm South of Angers in France at the mo -

I'm South of Angers for just over another week, then two weeks near Le Mans. It is very hot, 35c, bit like being back in Abu Dhabi. Hoping it will cool down tomorrow -

not in Devon but France. I'll send something over but need a storm fix myself. I think they are tracking too far to the North East of me -

Currently South of Angers, France. Heating up to between 34-35c. Clouds growing and a couple of spots of rain on the windscreen. Looking hopeful for the region -
Beleive me you do not want temperatures of 40c, let alone 45c. Even with aircon everywhere you can't do much. In the summer everyone here leaves or hibernates I'm hoping for "normal" temperatures next week when I go to France. Maybe even some rain...mmmmmmmm

Keep your curtains and windows shut until the temperature outside cools to an acceptable level. Our aircon failed a couple of weeks ago when it topped 45c outside. The best room was the maids room (spare room to us) which has no windows. My daughter had to sleep in there and I was tempted to join her

I did think the same but the earlier stuff is mostly snow. Still exciting to get hail or even rain where I am. We had a few drops this afternoon and people go crazy
