  1. Lol Having the balcony door open here and it feels pleasantly cool. Not sure whether to boom tonight or save energy for next weekend in Amsterdam. Decisions, decisions...
  2. It should be a cool night tonight. Will you thrw one f your neighbours in the fire?
  3. The current satellite picture is an absolute beauty with yesterday's low winding itself up over the low countries and tomorrow's low approaching Ireland. http://www.sat24.com/en/gb
  4. The band of light rain has moved away now but to the west of me there is a line of showers. The sky looks interesting.
  5. Nobody said it is the only influence but it is certainly a big influence. This coming winter may well be cursed by the strong el nino but it won't be long before a cold winter comes now that the solar activity is going down. Actually, Iceland gets very good weather with northern blocking as the jet travels further south/over the UK.
  6. I am pleased to see the persistence of southerly tracking lows, probably encouraged by the low sun spot activity. The solar maximum is well behind us now.
  7. You are probably a bit too north to be reached.
  8. Raining lightly here now. It needs to get a bit heavier and save me from having to water my pots.
  9. It could be that tonight and tomorrow night will be the last chances for this year. Cloudy after that.
  10. Will we get some tomorrow? The main band seems to be further south but I have seen those kind of lows travel further north than forecast on numerous occassions. If not, then nothing more than a few showers can be expected and then a dry Saturday. Nice and cool by night though which I love.
  11. The page gives me an error message but I'll take your word for it. That's interesting though as there was a brief lull in activity last summer.
  12. Down to 89 now which must be the lowest it's been since before this cycle's maximum!
  13. Hardly any sunspots today and the solar flux has gone down to 91! http://spaceweather.com/ Karyo
  14. I somehow missed all the showers again today and ended up having to water the plants this evening.
  15. The noctilucent season must be coming to an end soon. Already the evenings are noticeably darker.
  16. The cloud is thickening now from the south and the breeze is starting to make its presence felt.
  17. The precipitation forecasts don't give me much optimism for any storm potential tonight, at least for the Greater Manchester area. Looking forward to some breezy conditions tomorrow to give a sense that autumn is not that far away.
  18. I can already notice it when I have my breakfast at 7:30am. My whole living room was getting showered with sunshine but now there is a slice of shade on the southern side of the room.
  19. It's a great photo but momentarily I thought it was a current eruption. This is from 2011.
