So far the atmosphere seems to be very stable ahead of the main band which is not good news.
I was hoping for sunshine and thundery showers but may have to do with some rain instead.
Yes, I was watching those cells yesterday on the satellite . They were out in the Atlantic then but not as intense as they are now, the cloud tops are whiter/colder today.
Yesterday was uneventful but today there are already thundery showers in West Wales, the Southwest and Ireland and they will be over us in a few hours!
I don't think they are Cheshire gap streamers as they happen in a northwesterly flow.
There seems to be a lot of activity expected tomorrow afternoon. Clearing by late pm though.
