    I think the southwesterly element of the wind may mean we are mostly dry tomorrow but yes there will be plenty more chances down the road as it looks.

    You need to hurry as it won't be long before it turns to rain. Turning back to sleet now here as the wind strengthens.

    The heaviest band is over Manchester now so I guess it will soon get lighter and turn to rain.

    Quite heavy here now but the flakes melt on impact with the ground.

    Light rain here but there us heavy precipitation just to the west of Manchester so it may turn to wet snow when it gets here shortly.

    Surprising hear about snow reports. Darren Bett was just talking about brief hill snow in his forecast a minute ago.

    Regarding the above discussion, the ECM was the first to pick up today's low. It dropped it in the next run and the UKMO picked it up so the ECM was the first although it was not consstent with it.

    The fact that our planet just had the warmest year on record must have played its part.
