  2. Seems like many are moaning..(again) in the model output discussion thread...Feels like ive gone back 40+years..proper playground claptrap..!!
  3. I escaped the low cloud/haar by jumping in the car and heading off to North Yorkshire and enjoyed some sunshine..!! Don't like these easterlies in late spring /summer here along the North-east coast especially when forecasters keep saying enjoy the sun and warmth whilst it lasts..!! ..
  4. May not be 7℃ for you lot inland but for us poor folk on the coast its absolutely awful.. http://www.southshields-weather.co.uk/Today's_weather.htm
  5. As usual in these type of set ups the North-East coast is likely to be on the cool side with temps ranging from 14℃ to 17℃ at best. Really hoping for no haar as this can drop temps below 10℃ right along the coastline.
  6. Sleet and snow showers blowing on a strong northerly wind here on the northeast coast.
  7. Sleet, snow, rain and hail!!. Snowflakes were huge too. Hoping this little 'cold snap' is winters end and can then start looking forward to sunshine and warmth..( I wish..!!)
  8. Moderate snow falling here in South Shields. Large snowflakes, just on the right side of marginality for ppn to be of snow and not a wintry mix.
  9. Shannon entropy is key here. February can deliver epic snowfall, not that the models are showing this, but the atmosphere is so volatile at the moment anything is possible..
  10. Multi million £/$ computers, complex algorithms and all that technical know how, I'm still going with a rare visitor to my garden.. a grey wagtail..!! He's been popping in for the last few days. Last time he called was in 2010 and we all know what happened then..!!
  11. A level 2 issued for Scotland from ESTOFEX. http://estofex.org/
  12. Update from the met office yellow warning for snow for south of the region. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?tab=warnings&regionName=ne&fcTime=1452729600&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50
  13. The DFDS ferry breaks from its moorings during the peak of storm Clodagh on the river Tyne. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/delayed-dfds-ship-broke-north-10522652#ICID=FB-Chron-main
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP5Y4lISF0s I can't see this live streaming webcam lasting long when Patricia makes landfall.
  15. Name them after UK/ Irish meteorologists past and present. I'm sure there's plenty to choose from this list. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_meteorologists
  16. Could possibly be a fourth hurricane soon all at the same time. Copyright © 2015 Cameron Beccario
  17. Wow what can I say.. One of the best long lived (still going on) thunderstorm, wave after wave pushing through. The lightning was fantastic, almost strobe like at times. After one particular lightning strike the clouds lit up a dull green and stayed illuminated for about a couple of seconds, never seen owt like that before..
  18. If it snowed at 21℃ I'd be a happy man..!!
  19. Hi Paul, sorry to be a 'pain' but the lightning overlay isnt working correctly. The little x's indicating where lightning has struck is showing but everything else disappears.
  20. Custom/postcode zoom now not working on V4 5min radar. It was fine earlier this morning. Just noticed the date on V4 radar 08/07/15....
  21. If this comes off Karl it could be the start of a settled, warm and sometimes hot August as Stewart (GP) alluded to last week. Maybe Stewart is onto something with his theories on LRF's if August's settled conditions come into fruition. Would be interesting to see if he comes on with a winter forecast although I'm sure work restrictions may not allow this.
  22. That huge thunderstorm is just about to hit Warsaw. Sat24 Live streaming webcam..it did have sound awhile back..microphone must be busted.!! http://oognet.pl/content/details/276
