    Barometer reading at 1005 hPa yesterday here. Now showing at 981.5 hPa. Certainly a big drop there!

    Awww, although they are becoming fewer! do you think Autumn maybe better regards thunderstorms in your part of the country ? As you can see from my sig I got my first one in August this year after waiting 6 years I was over the moon Lol.

    Again, let's hope this potential doesn't disappear. From past experiences and many years ago I hasten to add , September storms were always good ones especially as soon as it got dark, so,it's fingers crossed again folks.

    And me lol. I wonder when the next lot will be! September used to be good here for storms years ago but not anymore. Oh well, an Atlantic storm when due will do for me in the meantime.

    I took a photo of three swallow fledglings early this evening in the barn. I had already discovered them last night but when I had tried then to take pictures my flash wouldn't work! the same three were all perched on a metal rack up high last evening whilst the parent bird kept swooping in and out the barn encouraging them to fly.. the parent bird was getting a bit agitated whilst I was there although I tried to hide the best I could . I was really pleased they were all still there this evening and took a couple pics of them all huddled together.

    Coast,we still have Autumn yet!! September can be really good for storms, especially down your way! something to do with the sea temps I guess! I know the SE hasen't done well again this year, but don't give up yet Autumn may make up for what you've missed this summer and throw you a few surprises .

    Lol, I'm out of the NSC had a storm on Saturday I reckon it's something coming over from Cardiff.Probably a heavy rain shower. I'm watching out for lightning though from across the fields to my West.

    No, it's nothing to do with the sun setting lol it doesn't get dark here until 9pm.I'm out in the open countryside .The sky looks really scary lol

    I can remember it was around this date back in 2003 we had quite a severe storm in Cheltenham. I wonder if this will be a repeat of then now that the storm-shield has broken here lol but the main thing is of course that everybody keeps safe whatever Mother nature throws at us.
