    It's been mostly drizzle but it was a lot heavier about 10 minutes ago. so what you both say sounds about right. I have to say it's been the most depressing day ever and agree with most of the people the voted drizzle as the the MOST HATED WEATHER Thanks TM24

    Just put our heating on for the first time since last winter, and i can feel my wallet getting thinner by the second Lets not take it for granted folks, so many people are going to struggle to pay the high fule prices this winter!

    Thanks to all for the comments above, since that night we have had nothing here in Dorset but its more the some have had so i shouldn't complain. we still have time for something to pop up, one of the best storms I've ever seen was towards the end of September 2000 off the Blackpool coast. so to all the people that haven't had a thunderstorm yet, Don't give up hope

    So is that it for this maximum? the suns activity has dropped off quite a bit in the last couple of months, at a time when it should at its peak. Here is a link from another site some might know My link so the last couple of winters could just be a taste of things to come.

    Hi Northants a bit of pashents and luck I have a Canon Eos 1000D, its an entry level digital SLR but it does the job The camera does most of the work to be honest, the hard part was trying to focus in the dark. I had the camera in aperture priority mode, the camera choses the shutter speed to allow for a balanced exposure and thats that. The shutter was open from 15 - 30 seconds which allows plenty of time to catch a flash of lightning.

    Your time will come, I was about to give up myself at 9pm, then it all came good here is the video of a passing storm from about 20 minutes ago,I took with my phone so the quality is not that good and its not as active as I originally thought could have some more on its way, you can can have them if you want

    Don't give up if you live on the south coast, just had another storm here in Christchurch the came out of nowhere. i'll try to upload some video that i have just captured with my phone quite active to 1 flash every 5 seconds.
