I noticed this aswell, would it be to much to ask for a night storm later
If it does go on to produce anything I won't be one of the beneficiary's unfortunately, day storm or night storm, I'll take anything I can get at the moment

Thunderstorm rumbling mainly to SW'ly. Frequent thunder, rain not too heavy yet.
Nice one, it looks like it's really picking up

Well I just answered your question about the roof.
Apart from that it’s been an interesting night even if we don’t get any thunder. Who needs sleep anyway
Me burning the candle at both ends
Hopefully the builders will sort out any damages, like you said, it was really heavy at one point I guess there's only so much you can do, I'm sure they'll be a few permanent roofs that have leaks this morning

Just passed over here too although seems the heavier part passed over you. No sleep so far tonight and I'm not in any rush to do so at the moment. Glad I've got nothing to get up for tomorrow
Part of our kitchen hasn't got a proper roof at the moment so I hope the temporary roof the builders put on it keeps the rain out.
Hope the temporary roof managed to keep the rain out, absolutely biblical at one point. Edit, I've just read your latest post hope it's not too bad!
I've been sat in the car down at Mudeford quay, I didn't really seem much lightning, but I've been hearing plenty of distant rumbles, not worth staying up for though, but it's something I guess.
And finally we have some proper rain.

There's definitely a chance. It's June after all and this shortwave originates off the coast of Iberia! Although the lack of sferics and any further updates from our expert posters here isn't too encouraging.
The other half has to be up super early for an office day over on the mainland, so I'll probably get in trouble if I go out in the middle of the night, but I'm still going to do it should we be lucky!
Don't you just hate it when plans get in the way of storm potential.
Just clocked this on the other side, do you think our potential is from what is leaving the french coast atm, or is it from the main band of rain that's expected to come in later in the late evening/morning hours?

Ooh, interesting! I can see occasional flashes coming through the curtains, assuming all from the cell to the SE. If something has developed to the west of that, then that'd be a pleasant surprise
I'm not 100 percent but it's definitely in a different location to the one I'm seeing over by the Isle of Wight. I have a couple of bolts from that one.

Just heard thunder
I don't think I have a chance of a storm come near me but at least I've seen something and heard something, that will do for now

Yeah, it looks like it's just muck making look like there was something there
2023 has been a big letdown so far, and that way things are going, I don't think I'll be wasting anymore time going out unless the webcams are lit up.
At least we have storms to look forward to!
Oh wait.. no we don't
