  1. I`ll go for a winter slightly cooler to last winter but still with alot of atlantic weather domination sadly and storms but just more of the colder zonality to last year there will be cold spells no doubt and snow. Winter snow came during spring last year same next year I`d say.
  2. I was going to go for average but I`ll go for 16.3c instead as it`s not taken and July has a better chance of being below average to other months.
  3. The Pit was talking about how mild it`ll be as theres a warm brief plume coming in tonight so a warmer night than what this morning gave at 11a.m. This month has had a good many cold nights here infact with frosts in places aswell, coldest June at night since 1991 if any more cold nights come up is quite easily possible and thats saying something especially for mid-month read MR Data`s post.
  4. Well rainfall will be the least of problems here as the ground is rock hard. As for the wind thats a totally different matter see the bbc weather twice now and severe gales were shown and from north Wales northwards not seen that in summer before. http://85.214.49.20/pics/brack0a.gif
  5. 13.9c today so another 0.2c drop and thats not including last night which was even colder. And this month has been so dry well here not as I`m complaining.
  6. http://www.climate-uk.com/index.html 14.1c it is so averge upto the 14th, on the 71-00 but 0.1c below the 61-90 average so June is not a warming month it seems. By the way also last month was the most easterly may in 136 years.
  7. Last below average June was 1999 at 13.9c the previous 2 years were only slightly above could even end up the coolest June since 1991 with what the models are showing although a milder SW-ly will bring it up unless it`s a wet unsettled one or it ends up further south then back to more cooler west/NW winds along way off.
  8. I`ve never dreampt about chasing storms but I`ve dream occasionally that they come here not lately though about a fortnight ago when there was 2 cracks of thunder but the clouds look more dreamlike and grand for some strange reason. And I`ve seen tornadoes in my dreams too and some vicious thunderstorms. I tell you what I dreamed about last night was looking at the GFS run and it showed a potent N-ly for now with the -5c just making it to the south well as I didn`t see any charts yesterday there is a N-ly looking rather cool but not that cold.
  9. You havn`t seen the GFS 0z run then a greenland high/northern blocking and a cool N-ly to even cooler NE-ly with lp close by looks like my punt will be too high now and a below average June looks very possible hope July doesn`t turn out like this though this time as last July was horrid wet and cold, some fairly cool nghts recently too got down to 6.8c yesterday morning less cool last night at 9c
  10. Its earlier this year perhaps the warm east/SE wind of early may has brought it forward. Last year was the least I`ve ever had hayfever just a few odd days in mid-June then a couple of days in september all thanks to the heavy rain.
  11. I`m going for a warmer June to last year at 15.6c but a similar type of month in some ways with lp over the south from time to time making it very wet and thundery but not as wet as last June hardly and the continental flow continues. It was the coldest since 1996
  12. That is as a cold of a day your gonna get for that time of year 3c colder than today even just 7c on my old reading with last June 25th last year very similar day but with even stronger winds of which I`ve never seen in summer before, and around 2c higher max remember the 1997 one though as there was an uprooted tree in N-ly gales and over an inch of rain. I`ll go for 34.9c max in the SE.
  13. Jan:100mm Feb:30mm March:102mm April:98mm You`ve certainly have more rain thought it was wet here this spring with the wettest april since 2000 aswell and march coming in even wetter!! Feb was the driest.
  14. Just 0.2c away for my stab then last time april came at 7.9c was in 1991 and 1971 which is the 61-90 average but 0.2c below the 71-00 average. Not surprised it`s gone lower especially after yesterdays low max temps in places.
  15. That is quite surprising I expected an 8.1c today so yesterday just came as averge temps...and not taking last nights low mins that GFS did show 2.5c min here even and today 2c down on yesterday`s max colder where the showers cloud came as it`s been quite sunny earlier. 7.8c may well be the final figure instead. Surpressed temps tomorrow under lp and lots of rain/showers too.
  16. Thats where I read it before thanks that`ll do for me as good as a month thats the period always use to be well known for cold and snow years ago even to april 20th, so we can more or less say this spring has certainly broke the trend of recent years for that period very noticable it`s been too this spring.
  17. Yes I would like to know that but I may have an idea it may of been the coldest mid-march to mid-april since 1996, Mr data would know though. CET is now on 8.0c.
  18. Could even be cooler than that with a more chillier east flow under rain as it shows 8/9c further west. Anyway the following day looks just as cool with lp well in charge over us. http://91.121.93.17/pics/Rtavn7817.png Mins are expected to get down to 5c tonight it is cooler than last night thats certain 7.4c here now and clear.
  19. Looks cold tomorrow night now with a good frost on GFS but especially in Ireland. Still 1c would help bring it down more in the CET zone if it comes to that.
  20. The milder/warmer air is taking more time to move in the SE. A temp range of 12c in manchester same here infact or just below now to 19c east anglia, 12c in luton airport 14c at heathrow airport. It will be cooler from tomorrow.
  21. Shows how busy I`ve been this month had to check back on this thread as it was 7.7c guess as I thought I went for for 7c Around that figure would be ideal don`t want that cold air going down the pan, as april 1998 and 2000 were also very similar. Today has certainly been one of the warmest days this month though.
  22. Last time april came below average was in 2001 at 7.7c there were a few sharper frosts that month to this and a few cold days much like today, still but a few warmer days also upto 13/14c here later in the month. So thats the target to go for now.
  23. Highest temps I had last summer was 24.1c in June then 24.5c in august. I like to see some heat and more especially humid conditions (but not too much) to get those thunderstorms otherwise fresher SW-lys air is no good well when is it any time of year although last year produced the goods anyway with lows piling over top of us in June, instead and one lovely warm evening SE-ly plume giving some cracking thunderstorms. And a warm or hot spell/ week to get the hay in also.
  24. Well I`ve probably mentioned this last year but the last time there was a cold N-ly in May was in 1997 with a mix of rain/sleet and snow showers with a slight covering of hail not here but just about half a mile away on our land which was memorable at the time in this year. http://www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/19...00119970507.gif http://www.wetterzentrale.de/archive/ra/19...00219970507.gif But the strangest thing about march and april didn`t even record a single hail shower or even sleet  let alone snow different to this spring
  25. Can`t say I`ve smelt anything out of the ordinary and I`ve just been out now after seeing this thread but it feels rather fresh out there it that wind.
