    Yep saw that lightnint strike to the south of Crawley, musy be that Henfield cell. First lightning seen in like well over a year! Should see alot more from Sunday onwards - in Orlando!

    Looks like another hour or so of snow then looking at the radar it appears to be drying up for this neck of the woods, appears to be to my north that keeps going.

    I've followed your thoughts for many years Stewart and I realised a couple of years ago that you will no doubt be working for an Energy at some point (obviously I don't know if that is the case!) Especially after the respect you gained with your postings over on Easternuswx. Good luck fella

    According to radar then I should be getting some light snow (just south of Gatwick) but I can see the stars above me! So dry here, will check a bit later

    Light snow flurries here for the last hour or so, nice to see! Before March I would say it was a decent winter for snow, saw snow falling in all the winter months, but after this month this winter is up there with 09 & 10 now. Hoping now though that GFS/ECM are right and some milder weather is coming for Easter! We brought our oldest son his first bike for his 4th Birthday last weekend and it's been too wet/cold to take him out on it! EDIT: Actually bigger flakes now! Obviously that Blob is hitting us now!

    Saw the transition from heavy rain to heavy wet snow around 7am, starting to settle! Going to Blue water shortly, should be fun!

    Yes Chion, Just played footie in East Grinstead, car temp said 3C and there was definite sleety splodges! Heavy throughout from about 8.30 till 10.00 when I left. Within a couple of miles towards Crawley it stopped and lots of fog! Now just light rain here in Tilgate, very localised with lots of flooding in East Grinstead.

    Amazingly still snowing here' I can normally hear the a23 traffic but it's fairly quiet! Must be about 7 inches where it's out of wind. About a foot drifts around the car! Do I try and drive to work or walk the 4 miles hmmmm decisions decisions!

    Lighter snow now but earlier on we had some amazing snow falling and blowing snow! Haven't seen anything like it in years! Great covering now on everything including main roads. Should be interesting getting to work tomorrow! I guess we've had our lot now but it's been a memorable day!

    It's been a fantastic day here, Intermittent Blizzard type showers from the word go has left around 3cm on everything bar the roads! Certainly the best snow falling since Jan10! We certainly appear to be in a very good sweet spot!

    Yes it is, I overlook the Airport and we've got about 2 to 3cm here! Fantastic heavy snow. Intermittent, almost shower like. We are on the Northern extent that I can of the stuff from the Channel, and appear to be getting the showers from the NE. Bootiful!

    Moderate snow here for the last 15 min or so, settling readily on the grass at the moment.

    ooo I could do with one of those now! plenty of 5p flakes with some bigger flakes as well. You must be getting this as well BD?
