The only thing was it would stick around for a while which could give some accumulations the same as a short period of heavy snow?

I thought we'd do better this afternoon. The snow in Pembs haired off south more quickly, and in a slightly different direction, than I ancipated!

Still, it's been an ace day and my school is shut tomorrow!

What surprises will tonight bring?

I think the best chances are possibly for the line of precip across mid and north wales to edge slight east? Pembs been in the firing line for a while, I want a share.

If schools are open it's quite stupid because conditions are worse today? tonight the snow is freezing hard, the main road now has a dusting.. SORRY the main UN-GRITTED road now has a dusting with ice.

Anything else I need to mention? ehh side roads are bad, I know some school buses travel through some side roads.

Pretty much worse than this morning for schools.

(there is also the problem for innocent pupils being thrown ice balls at their faces by some of the more childish teenagers.)

According to the latest radar, looks like Swansea is now in a snow shield and there will be no further snowfall tonight

very windy here cloud cover as well but nothing falling from the sky there is a gap on the radar hopefully south western wales will get more snow tonight is this going to happen?

Well surely you can see for yourself you are in the firing line of all that showery nonsense stretching up north Wales... so you'll probably be lucky anyway.

Any chance of that Northern Arm currently over North Wales being dragged over this far West later on, although it does look to be losing its intensity as it moves south.

I hope so, all that lovely precip over pembrokshire has naffed off down south..

Is it really that bad in Kidwelly? not much snow? Surely you must have had a dusting at least? It stuck quite well here, come up to Pontyates and join us. (Snowing steadily here now)

DN3A- we're at the end of the first third (IMO) of the most significant cold spell of the last decade (at least!). If this isn't floating your boat, I suggest you take up stamp collecting or something!

Still snowing here, should ease off soon and *hopefully* some of those nice showers over irish sea will hit me..

Only thing is I think the lighter stuff could be sleet or rain because it's getting marginal.. but heh im not complaining! as I mentioned early.. THOSE FLAKES WHERE AMAZING!

Why is it so marginal for people? and will temp rise further as it's only morning and not the warmest time of day?
