  1. The final ECM is a peach. Setting up a stonking Northerly. One main thing I've noticed so far is the lack of the vortex setting up shop in Southern Greenland.
  2. I'm liking the low pressure systems tracking that little bit further South, indicative of pressure being that bit higher towards the pole. As long as we don't see the PV shifting to it's Southern Greenland homeland we may get some decent Polar North Westerlies towards mid November. These early GFS FI Strat models are a great sign. If the vortex struggles to get going at the start of Winter it will have a hard job later on when SSW's become more likely.
  3. Looks like a stronger low pressure system than the one that impacted SE England may impact Scotland and Northern Ireland through the weekend. If it does occur, I expect wall to wall coverage on the TV, Newspapers etc.....
  4. Looks like a storm due next weekend though Pom. A bleak afternoon ahead.
  5. Sorry, didn't see Ians post. Was going by Tom Jarvis post on previous page.Seem to contradict one another?
  6. Well at least the Met Office have ruled out a Sting Jet, that's a plus at least.
  7. A predicted sub 970mb low pressure travelling through central southern England is a rare thing. It may be damaging or it may not but Southerners in exposed areas should at the very least ensure they are prepared.
  8. Quite a disturbed couple of weeks coming up I reckon Ronan
  9. You know the re-freeze is going well when even BFTV starts ramping. ;-0
  10. I wouldn't have thought so WH. If we were in a blocked winter pattern, the high likliehood is that a SSW would aid the continuance of the blocking rather than hinder it. Indeed, if were all ready in a blocked winter pattern caused by forcing other than a SSW, a SSW would be the winter icing on a cake.
  11. Which weather Company is it that GP works for now? Do they not produce forecasts like others? Will miss his views this year for sure.
  12. Can't wait for The Murrs first Svalbard blocking post. that's when you know Winter is coming.
  13. Any chance we will see the orange orb soon? Starting to get Vitamin D deficiency..
  14. That is a big jump, more of the same this coming Winter please.
  15. When does permanent winter darkness hit the North Pole?, is it at the Equinox?
  16. You will find the answer in Revelation Chapter 21, verses 10-27. Only for believers though. Not sure i will meet many Netweather members on the other side.
  17. Well the BBC local and national forecast showed not a drop of rain for Eastern NI today yet i wake up and its pouring down.
  18. Just starting in Belfast, a miserable evening ahead.
  19. That was a fantastic week long spell we had, the best for four years i reckon. I hope that isnt it for Summer!
  20. No Atlantic breakdown on the GFS Ops 0z run although it does instead bring a thundery plume up from the continent. Lets hope the ECM holds the trough in the Atlantic also.
  21. The GFS delays any breakdown until Wednesday next week also.
  22. Dare i say it that the way things are going we could be talking about temperatures into the very warm/hot category soon enough? Please let it be so.....
  23. Outlook is indeed looking excellent Watcher. A cloudy but dry weekend then warm next week. Beautiful day yesterday and today looks better.
  24. One word summary for the GFS 0z Operational.... Summer!
