    Blimey just woke up after a nightmare when I thought all the snow had been washed away as rain arrived ! . Glad to see it was a dream. Still snowing here a lot as I look bleay eyed at the screen.

    No. I wouldn't even take note yet of the forecast detail. It will change as close to 6 hrs with snow potential. I remember in February the snow turned up when not forecast in our area ans when it was it usually didn't ! and we did very well out of it indeed

    Accidently posted my temperatures in the model thread ! anyway currently -3.5c here and -4.8c dewpoint. I wouldn't worry about the graphics for snow on tv they change like crazy all the time. best to just look at radar links the night before and then in morning to get an idea of where the snow is heading (or like me every 10 minutes !!)

    Big changes in the bigger picture - the low southwest of Greenland evident on the 00z has vanished on this runat 96hrs. low southern scandi look more active as well

    I've just looked at the GFS and ECM and they side to the GFS no question . High further north . There is no way they follow the ECM

    My temperature is shooting up as well. Quite amazing watching it going up so quickly , if it keeps going up this rate for a few hours I will be in shorts and tee shirt outside :lol:

    I was thinking the same thing here a few minutes ago. would this be due to the thin wedge of of -3 850Hpa air that is over us on the 12z run? I note it gets shunted out of the way by 6pm

    Has anyone in the SE south of London any decent snow left ? I was thinking of taking my skis out for a try this weekend on a hill with some snow left I may be too late ! . Any suggestions ?? still light snow here

    Finally I can confirm that there are a few snowflakes coming down here 10cm to go !

    signs of the radar picking upa little now after my doom and gloom of an hour ago still nothing here yet though

    I don't think we are going to gert anything now . looks like precipitation dying . Met office warnings dropping currently only 2-5cm now for my part. Oh well there you go . appaling met office performance from yesterdays warning of an extreme event less than 24 hrs ago down here.

    Its going to snow here later this afternoon and overnight . Precipitation will pivot right over me here. Its about 1-2c here at present Stop the panic, I am quitely confident now

    To be honest the met office I think just react to what is happening when it happens in these situations. I was on the moderate to high risk boundary issued earlier today - so I will expect rain

    Well the latest me office update on the forecast just after 3.00pm is downbeat about prospects and probably more realistic. I wont be getting up my hopes tonight

    I have been watching a local weather stations temperature nearby in Redhill and the temp has dropped 1.2c in 1 hour . This looks promising for later

    Just seen Carol Kirkwood on BBC say that tonight early hours London and Surrey, Sussex, Kent - away from the coastal fringe can expect snow to move up from channel again!!! just need to get through today ! hoping it wont all melt over the hills

    Can confirm that we have sleet - icy sharp sleet . Temp 0.9c dew point -1.5c I guess thats it for a couple of days

    I would not worry about this yet . Plenty of time for the warnings to change for the better in my opinion especially after the last run

    The fact that the latest radar shows sleet over NW France is surely a good sign for us later - maybe ?
