  1. here here! one snow shower this evening and i'm happy, plus I am on beer number 2 so everything is great, lol!!!
  2. my garden is walled and sheltered and therefore no use at all! I am happy that the sensor is currently bang on with the temp, almost at -3
  3. you might as well have it, at least you have a big garden and a place to put it, its no use in my kitchen cupboard!!
  4. Ha ha, yeah I know very funny!! lol! I can't put it in my garden as it is enclosed and therefore inaccurate but it is a bit obvious outside my front door as it is white and flashes with a red light!!
  5. Yes and I sometimes look at Deanshanger but it has not been working recently! I put my sensor outside for the first time tonight for fear of it being nicked. Just hung it on the trellis outside my door and I am suprised at how good it is, all i need to do now is find somewhere for my anemometer and rain gauge!
  6. tempertaure outside my front door is currently -2.8 degrees, which matches with local weather station. I am doubtful that temps will drop as low as predicted!
  7. I will give anything a try, I won't be happy until we have another good spell of snow, I'm a bit greedy!
  8. Yeah I know, patience is a virtue I don't have, roll on tomorrow evening!
  9. Do you think if we all make come hither gestures that they will hot foot it down here???? That's why I have been living in Milton Keynes for 5 years!! I have an opportunity to move up north later in the year but I don't think Mr Doozer would be too keen on a llllllloooooooooooonnnnnnngggggg distance realtionship!
  10. Oye Bolton Boy!!! i'm trying to stay on topic here, I don't like being told off!
  11. It is lovely to find somewhere that you feel you belong. I have worked in a lot of places in the UK but I'm a northern girl at heart even though I have technically never lived there!! It's where I always go when things get tough and its where I feel safest. I have never really been to Norfolk, except on the Broads and that was an exceptional summer weatherwise.
  12. Well when I have I ever been simple? actually, don't answer that!! Looks like the Beeb have added a few more white bits onto their graphics for Sunday and they are over our heads!! woo!
  13. Erm yes, I read it after I posted, concise as usual, thank you TEITS
  14. I love the North, I plan to move up there one day! Relatives live in the Alderly Edge area. However, to further confuse things, I was born in Scotland!! To get back on topic, do you think the Beeb may be playing Sat/Sun down? I am supposed to go to Birmingham tomorrow (by train) and I am concerned about returning home on Sunday.
  15. I can sympathise, My electricity supplier is Southern Electric which provide power to the South West, no wonder i'm confused! To be honest I need to lurk on all threads because I work in Surrey, my family and other half live on the Essex Coast, My relatives live in Cheshire and I am in no-mans land!!!
  16. We get Look East here! I am confused too, I don't consider MK to be EA, I guess we are sort of East Midlands, we are too central to be SE. I suppose this thread makes sense because our weather correlates when it is an Easterly or Northerly and we are therefore all looking to receive showers from the same area, over the wash and through EA.
  17. Mrs M, You are defo 3 counties, so you belong here with us
  18. Had a blizzard here in the west!! Just kidding, it was pellet type snow at first, then it turned into a light-moderate snow shower, lasted about 5 minutes!
  19. Light snow shower in SW Milton Keynes! Temperature has risen by 0.4 degrees to -1.9 outside my front door!
  20. Thats what the MetO uses to split regions, it makes little sense to me!!
  21. You still have to put up with me though, maybe we should petition for separate north/south Milton Keynes threads or better still maybe East/West considering the East seems to be quite extreme weatherwise!
