  1. Nothing here overnight... Never mind, yesterday's thunder snow was just the starter hopefully!
  2. You missed a brief bit of thunder hail / snow and the entire town centres of redhill and Reigate gridlocked as everyone panicked! Currently 0.8 with dp of -0.8 at the grammer school - all that's missing is the snow!
  3. What are people's thoughts re Reigate - too far west for the current lot and too Far East for the polar low?
  4. 0.7c with dp of -0.9c - let's hope for snow this way!
  5. Steve, wouldn't it really lose intensity before it gets this way?
  6. Snowing again in Reigate - the centre of town is gridlocked!
  7. No, we had a crack of thunder and then heavy hail that turned to snow!
  8. Thunder and lightning in Reigate! Hailing heavily now!
  9. 5.3c dp 1.3c in Reigate http://www.weather.rgsinfo.net/index.htm
  10. Ah, but Friday is the warm sector bit - it's Saturday night onwards that the fun really starts!
  11. However, and this is deep FI, but cold uppers returning west at 240 hrs ( the South East never having lost -5 air!) http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn2402.gif
  12. Nothing since March 2013 in Reigate This winter has certainly been better than last - we've had some decent frosts etc; it would be good to have snow though!
  13. Richard, I do wonder what relevance these ensembles have now as they are based on the old GFS - is it like comparing the GFS op with the NAVGEM ensembles? Does anyone know if the control is new GFS or old?
  14. A west based -nao may draw southerly winds towards us? -4.1c / dp -4.7c here... Brrrrf
  15. Yes, by 240hrs, it's so close to a cross polar flow... Of course, as soon as it hits low res at 252hrs, the GFS flattens the ridge!
  16. Sun out in Reigate too... Current temp - 3.5c, dp - 0.9c
  17. We can but it's rare - the thunder snow event of 28 Jan (?) 2004 was a direct northerly - I was in Plymouth at the time but my Dad in Horsham recorded 2.5 inches of snow in 90 mins from that!
  18. Slate grey in Reigate - mist on the downs... A few spots of drizzle... Miserable
