Pretty cold here, but not as cold as 4 years ago!

Morning all, Well the weather has certainly turned more seasonal - nothing too exciting yet but at least it feels colder than practically all of last winter!

Reminiscing from four years ago in Reigate...

Thank you - it was pretty hairy for her, especially as the car was low on fuel so she couldn't keep the heating on... After that, the snow was pretty epic!

Morning all, according to Timehop, 4 years ago today was when the heavy snows came in the South East... My facebook statuses at the time cover this well! For those who weren't on here 4 years ago, or have forgotten, my pregnant wife had left Epsom at 3 because of the snow coming. Due to heavy traffic, the gritters couldn't get out of their depot at Kingswood and this meant that she only managed to get down Reigate Hill and home at nearly 2am the next morning, having counted 36 abandoned cars on the way down! My thanks to all who kept me sane on here and with offers of help to find Angie whilst I had an 18 month old to look after!

Well, Timehop has reminded me that my facebook status of 4 years ago today was 'has snow falling (not a lot, but hey...) - we all know what happened after that!

The weather today = rubbish

Morning all... Just walking into town and the weather is certainly meh... Grey with low cloud and mist... I'm unsure if it's the weather or just pollution from all the gridlocked cars in Reigate as the m25 is largely shut, again!

The return of Shannon and her Entropy by the looks of things... Well, look at the spread on the GFS ensembles for London... A big spread after 21st - up to 20c difference in upper air temps... http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/MT8_London_ens.png It's good to see some proper cold runs appearing - but equally mild ones as well! Interesting times!

Morning, the weather in Reigate can currently be described as 'meh'... Just a bit grey!

Sounds miserable outside this morning - not looking forward to the walk to work!

Bigsnow - I think that if the charts continued that would probably happen... See the upper air temps - -5 air across much of the country under a high pressure - sunny and frosty potentially! Hi all, been away from this bit of the board since last 'winter'... Glad to be back now

No heating on yet here... I know its been mild but maybe the new loft and cavity wall insulation is helping!
