  1. NW radar shows a couple of strikes... too miserly to pay for full edition but free one shows them. Also the blitzortung app shows them.
  2. Belting down in Leeds. No thunder though Spoke too soon, very deep rumble of thunder that vibrated the building!
  3. Calmed down as the initial cell has passed. The main rain band still to come.
  4. Large spots, rumbles of thunder and very dark now here. Gonna pee it down soon!
  5. There is a radar splott off the coast of Hartlepool in addition to the bits near Winchester.
  6. You know, until the comments on here, I didn't realise what I had drawn.... ooops! Was just trying to point out that these areas of west and south yorks always seem to be a killer for storms.
  7. Based upon various models and past experience I have created a crude diagram of my thoughts. Storms start to fire in a line from Cardiff down towards IOW and move north. One batch follows the M1 and the other the M6, diverging around Sheffield / Leeds / Hudds and then rejoining just north of Leeds before heading directly to Newcastle. The black area is the area of most severe disappointment.
  8. Darkening skies over Huddersfield way, looks like potentially something building.
  9. That storm over Skipton appeared out of no where. Very sweaty out there.
  10. Bright, sunshine and hot again in Leeds centre. So glad or air con today!
  11. Heck of a lot of strikes between Harrogate and Ripon. Strikes all round Leeds centre but brightening up here.
  12. Heavy rain out towards Dewsbury way visible from my office with rumbles of thunder.
  13. Skies now threatening in Leeds. Orangey haze with darker areas. Not heard thunder yet but seems to be something brewing.
  14. Are the storms in Derbyshire/Notts still the "crapvection" or are they the start of the forecast bad weather? Skies gradually darkening to the south of Leeds. Feels very close outside.
  15. Milky skies now in Leeds with hazy sunshine. Surprisingly windy. Difficult to see if any cloud formations are building due to the haze.
  16. Approaching 30C in Leeds with some more noticeable clouds to the west. Very, very sticky out there.
  17. Hot, sultry and hazy in Leeds this morning. A few clouds out west but nothing building nearby.
