  1. Clear skies above, but looking at the radar I'm going to put the wet gear on for walking in a bit.
  2. Nice. We don't have a great view to the South, but I can see the cloud tops and the flashes from that direction. Looks like it's heading to the Eastern part of the forest.
  3. Ha. The guys that I sometimes go with, are off there on Saturday. Sounds like they're making a weekend of it. 0 - 0.
  4. Just picked up 3off tix for The Killers at St Mary's next year. Hoping for a better performance than the usual rubbish that we have to watch down there. Not quite as bright as advertised here, but much milder this morning. Yesterday morning was a beaut.
  5. I was saying exactly the same to a lady over on the watermeadows this morning. It's not going to end well today, by the looks of it. ?️ The past few mornings have been fab though.
  6. You Sir, are a gent! Now let's see if we can drag my mate out of bed early.
  7. Hello @Mapantz Is there any chance you could advise what time the UKV has tomorrow's rain hitting the Salisbury area? We're due to resume bonfire building at 10am, but might pull it forward if we can avoid a soaking. Many thanks
  8. That's where we are now. Haven't slept much due to the wind and the tastiest bit hasn't hit yet. Got to get down to Padstow for the Rugby in a bit.
  9. Awful. My prediction was 0 - 3, but that was after 90 mins, not 20. England more than made up for it this morning though. Incredible stuff.
  10. Off to Southampton v Leicester this evening. Going to be wet and miserable, by the looks of it. The weather isn't looking great either.
  11. Moderate rain here now. Not very nice, although Sat24 shows a clearance moving in from the West. We're off to Trevone, nr Padstow next Wednesday for the rest of Half-term. It was looking decent, with HP building in, but not so sure now. Will have to wait and see.
  12. Hello @jy. Hope all is well with you. Yeah, I just popped down to the brewery for a Quadhop takeout. It was pretty heavy on the way back.
  13. Ha. Didn't even notice. Was busy working away, checked the radar, saw that and so popped out to the garden. It's v dark to the South. As you say, nr Fordingbridge. I don't have a great view the the South East, as it moves away, but the bits that I can see look pretty cool.
  14. I was thinking the same on my walk this morning. Yesterday, I had to go to Hinton Admiral. Got caught in a torrential downpour. Then last night we were woken up by that squally shower. Chucking it down again now and looking at the radar, it looks like we're in line for plenty more today.
  15. Yep, we're outside saying goodbye to Summer. It won't go down as a classic, but this extended period has been lovely.
  16. Another lovely day. Going to miss this after tomorrow. Off to Saints v Bournemouth this evening. Will probably take a coat.
  17. It came good here from about 5:30pm, so we squeezed in a bbq. Looking good from here on in. Awesome stuff.
  18. You're out in the sticks, so plenty of walks, but well within an hour's drive for Salisbury, Bournemouth, Christchurch etc. The New Forest is not far out to the east, just keep going when you get to Fordingbridge. Burley would be the closest main village. Brock, Beaulieu and Lymo further S/SE. Not sure when the Pigs get released this year, but they're normally up North, around Brook. Monkey World down at Wool would also be good for your daughter. Then the Tank Museum is not far from there. Then S and SE, for Durdle Door, Corfe Castle and Swanage (and the Steam Train in between). The chain ferry to Poole is still down, at least it was a couple of weeks ago when we were there, but Studland on the way to it is a lovely beach if the weather's nice. There's Stourhead to your NW, but it's too early for leaf kicking and the changing colours. Pricey too, as you now have to pay for the dull house visit, as well these days. There's a tap room at Sixpenny Handley brewery, which is close to you, if that's your thing and Ringwood brewery, if you're really keen.
  19. Sat24 showing that we might get a bit of brightness later. I'm hoping to get out in the garden for a couple of hours, before the footie. ?️
