  1. First BBQ of the year - done. Had to light it before I finished work at 5, so we could eat in daylight.
  2. I sat out on the rubble that will be the new patio, when I get my finger out. It's a nice little Sun trap, so was fine in a T-shirt.
  3. I've just been sitting out there. It's beautiful. Going to have my lunch outside in a bit.
  4. I can see my house!!!!!!!! Edit : I can't....but the highest bit must be Clearbury??
  5. Hope so, Andy. I'm off next Thur/Fri, so we're away. Haven't booked anything yet, but the ECM looks good for a trip South West at the moment. France and Spain looking lovely today on https://en.sat24.com/en/eu If we could have a bit of that tomorrow and Friday, as the high drifts north, that would be sweet.
  6. As vile mornings go, this one really is a rotter. Got soaked this morning and the heavy stuff hadn't even started.
  7. No way... In a dry slot again and the radar is playing up at Dean Hill. Don't care.
  8. All gone this morning. The Low giveth and the Low taketh away. Back to last week... Here's a write up from Richard Martin-Barton (https://twitter.com/RMBwx) on 'Conditional Symmetric Instability' and why the models were struggling so much re: snow depths. https://t.co/GNtS3uCitq I've read it twice and fully intend to read it half a dozen more times, before the day is out. Or at the very least, look at the pictures.
  9. I reckon there's still good sledging to be had up at the top of Clearbury. We've just got back from a walk near there. Still snow on the distant hill tops looking towards pepperbox hill, in the other direction.
  10. Just went to let the chickens out. They do not want to know, this morning. -6.0C, on the nose
  11. Loving the language from the Irish players. Made me realise why I wasn't allowed to watch ITV as a child. Edit : Yeahhhh!!!!!
  12. We drove out to the Fovant Badges earlier, to find some deeper snow. It's not too far West of Salisbury, but they had a fair bit more than us.
  13. Thank you. It's the stuff to the North East of here at the moment that might provide the fun and games later. Edit : North East even.
  14. It's funny how we hang out for this type of event, then it gets in the way. We do, kind of, but it's a 1 1/2 mile walk across the field and I've already done it once today. Might just go early and stay over. One thing Bournemouth isn't short of, is hotels.
  15. Tonights trip to Bournemouth is looking less and less likely all the time now, looking at that radar. Will make the call at 6pm, I reckon.
  16. I hope not CE. I've just got back in to see that big blob of yellow and orange, heading straight for me and @CheesepuffScott One last hurrah would be great. Edit : Don't think it is b*ggered. Just got big out there, right on cue. Heaviest snow and biggest flakes that I've seen in the last 24 hours.
  17. @CheesepuffScott Just checked the radar... Check out the yellow bending around our Dean Hill gap from around Basingstoke. You feeling lucky?
  18. I can't see the expected South East movement yet, so it looks like it's got to get past us on it's way back to the channel; so we're still in the game.
