  1. The Euro4 06Z does delay progress a bit, so the heavist precip moves through the east of our region that bit later and after dark. We'll bomb out in the valley, as usual but it does take quiet a while to move through, so who knows...
  2. Might get a bit squally for us, if we clip the edge of what's coming up on the radar.
  3. Yeah, me too. We're going to see Frank Turner and I'll be driving back home afterwards. If it could hold off until after midnight, then we'll get the gig in and then some sledging on Saturday. Perfect... Right that's decided. Surely not too much to ask.
  4. B*gger. Got to get to the BIC and back on Friday evening. Too far off to worry about yet...
  5. Remember, this time last week we were all feeling pretty pleased with ourselves. I'd had my tea, poured a pint and my thoughts were shifting to where I'd put the sledge last March... Then the ECM came out. ?️
  6. Yeah, I've booked the 21st/22nd off, to go sledging so we can go away for a few days. Not sure where yet. Won't book anything until we've seen the ECM/UKMO on the Sunday before.
  7. Hello jy. Speaking of pubs (and deer ). We think The Stag is going to be re-opened in the not too distant. Watch this space.
  8. Decent start earlier at 7:30ish... Clouding over nearly an hour later... Then total cloud and three deer on the way back home...
  9. A workmate called me from the office in Stokenchurch at 5pm to say that the buses had stopped already and that he couldn't get home to High Wycombe. I suspect that he's settling in on a colleague's sofa about now.
  10. All about the elavation. Sleety drizzle is the stuff of dreams down here.
  11. I suspect that we'll be feeding on scraps now I'm afraid, as the bulk of the precip has moved through.
  12. The heaviest rain of the day brought the afternoon lowest temp @3.1C. Zero flakes.
  13. The word from the office in Stokenchurch is that it's snowing heavily there and settling. The radar suggests that it should be rain/sleet up there. It also suggests that conditions should support snow here. Not happening, I'm afraid.
  14. Temp dropped to 3.9C as the intensity of the rain picked up a bit. On the rise again now as it's subsiding.
  15. Lovely day here. Ended up digging the patio ground in shorts and t-shirt. The trick was to keep working. Stop digging and you know about it. Finished for the day, just in time for the footie.
  16. I saw it at about 6:30 and it looked fantastic. I tried to get some shots from the garden, but it needed the tripod really and I wasn't about to go scrambling around in the dark for it. It looks like it's trying to brighten up here. Sat24 looks nice to the East, but I've got to start digging out a patio, so I can't be chasing Sunshine today. Let's just hope it comes to us instead. ?️
  17. I imagine @karlos1983 is bouncing off the walls at the moment, but not 'cos the ECM is offering more jam tomorrow. 2-0.
  18. Agreed. I think it'll just be a cold wet mess for us on Tuesday. Whenever there's that much of Westerly component to the wind direction, it's just horrible. Might see a few flakes on the back edge though. You're better placed anyway, as you've got 60+ metres on me. I'm sure we'll be fine as we move through next week and beyond.
