Cracking day. Still sat out. It is the 2nd half of October isn't it? Zoom in for the starlings.

It's just over the meadows towards New Court Farm. There's normally a Kingfisher, or two (or three if you're very lucky) out and about early on.

Four days of hopefully cracking weather coming up, just in time for the Weekend. The walk to Downton and back this morning, was lovely.

Been bobbins all day, but it looks to be clearing to the West now. Sat24.com suggests some of us might get a half decent late afternoon.

Awful start today, but it definitely picked up. Walked from Highcliffe to Mudeford, stopping for a cone of chips at Avon beach and it was lovely. Something for everyone. The kite surfers were out in force and the walkers were lapping up the sunshine. Tomorrow = write-off.

Good man. Super quick sit in the Sun, beer and bbq this evening, before it set. Tiring stuff trying to squeeze it all in.

This time yesterday evening we were in the garden in shorts and t-shirts having a bbq... 24 hours later, we've lit the fire.

Yep, not great. Hoping it picks up, so we can fire up the BBQ later. Off to Winchester tomorrow, but it's not looking great. Might be a case of get in early and get out before the rain arrives around noon. ?️

Yeah, I saw that too. Thursday into Friday also had heavy rain, then thunder and lightning, then the hail that yours shows. Almost worth staying up for. It's gone now though.

MO forecast has been all kinds of wrong this morning. Grey and drizzling/rain since first thing. Sat24 looks a bit more promising.

The GFS suggests that Sunday might be a bit blowy for us lot, although again worse over the border. Then the possibility of high pressure becoming established after it moves through.

I'm sure the MO app and BBC lunchtime news had us down for a decent enough afternoon, if pretty breezy. ... but it's been horrible. At least the drizzle will dampen the grass seed.

The Met Office app has us down for white cloud all day, but it's glorious out there.

Lovely start to the day here with clear skies above. There is cloud cover out to the West, but it doesn't seem to be moving too much. We were down at the Rose Bowl for the Test match yesterday and it was beautiful all day. Certainly topped up the t-shirt sun tan. The Mrs said it was mostly cloudy here all day.
