  1. January, -7/8c uppers and we are still looking at rain. Should we all find a new hobby? The only positive are the summers!
  2. BBC still forecasting rain all week. Am I missing something here? Rain and 5c?
  3. Day 20 now instead of 10. This is starting to feel like the wizard of oz.
  4. Yes, we all know that but this is the model thread. If we just discussed reliable and not potential it would be dull 98% of the time! Lighten up or call the weather police
  5. Yes, but the 12z are not radically different in terms of uppers. It rained here today. I'm just not super confident that is all.
  6. It won't pan out like that because no model has ever been correct at 192. Serious question.... why the !!!?
  7. It's becoming a little tedious for me. This feels a little like the pandemic, hope on the horizon but never seemingly getting closer. I want proper snow, inches not a crappy dusting from a front dying on its bottom!
  8. Anyone else got a headache? Northerly, maybe an easterly, could be a westerly (NAO) or we could even end up with a southerly (if it all goes pete tong). I usually feel relatively up to date on where we are going for the next week at least, but I'm really struggling. It feels like nobody really has a clue (especially the models). It will likely get colder, but who knows where from.
  9. Guys, that low is only going to drop precipitation on the fish in the channel. You need to put a red line through that one and start to look towards a potential easterly (though it could be marginal).
  10. Agree with Paul, let's get that ground temp down. We're just marinating at the moment, preparing for the perfect feast (usual caveats apply....99% let down rate).
  11. They have been fairly consistent in this respect. Uppers have always been shown to be around -4 to -6c. I think we are just in a bit of a holding pattern now - chilly and mainly dry.
  12. All well and good, but where is the cold on that chart! I think 99% of forum members would sell their grandma and entire extended family for that one.
  13. It ain't. I would stick to the models than the ramblings of a very enthusiastic teenager
  14. Precipitation is always a difficult forecast it seems. The difference is that nobody cares if it rains so we do not over analyse these charts until snow is a possibility.
  15. If they're in a space shuttle. I think that is well above commercial airlines.
  16. Snow events are not something that can be forecast at such a range. They were trending for cold though, so we're certainly in the right ball park.
  17. Uppers are certainly trending colder. Think we could see some small patches of -10c cropping up in the next few runs for this timescale.
  18. Great to see guys - just to think, this has come from uppers too mild for snow
  19. Yes, all the models are ranked for accuracy and this is ongoing. Somebody will link to it (I don't have it to hand).
