No the met office video does not show that whatsoever.it says 70% chance . Sunday of 1-3 cm snow and 5 cm in places and 30% chance of 2-5cm of snow widely in the South Sunday,and No mention of rain,all of it snow .But keep with your agenda if you want .

what's going on in the model thread .so much bickering .all because the high pressure might sink south and some might miss out on snow. So pathetic,that's how it is ,always someone will miss out,think the SE has the best chance of seeing some snow over the weekend ,hopefully the met office will.upgrade the snow potential in our region in their next update this morning.

any output past t120 is liable to change,and that includes the BBC forecasts too,what we can say is an extrodinary cold spell of weather for the time of year is nearly upon us,

nothing wrong with UKMO run this morning,the 120 chart would bring snow showers for many Amazing runs from every model ,can't believe we have another Siberian High so soon again.Has this happened before?

surprised he was so confident ,has he not looked at the gfs and other models showing a true Siberian blast and near record low thickness values for the time of year then? obviously not bothered about his credebilty falling through the floor if he is wrong.then. the beeb were poor in the run upto the last cold spell,when they said turning cold but DRY,remember. Anyway not long to the next model runs this morning,and see how accurate Bett,s forecast was.

Quite extraordinary synoptics for this time of year .approaching 510 thickness of the Kent coast in mid March ,that’s ridiculous We would be amazed to see this in early January ,never mind now. Must be close to all time record low thickness in mid March,I think a poster said 1853 in March was the record before. Thats if it verifies of course,and UKMO not quite on board. An amazing end to this winter,start of early spring I can ever remember,maybe record breaking.Parts of Eastern Europe must be breaking records next week,or close to it.

This is just crazy if you think about it.For years we have been chasing the -10 hpa line in the winter months ,yet in the space of a few weeks we are chasing the -15c almost,again,in spring,and ice days AGAIN Cant imagine how cold this winter might have been,had this occurred early January,next winter looking mighty interesting.

Spot on.And to prove you are 100% correct here are the ensembles,one of the mildest out of all of them.Useless model sometimes.Best stick with the Met and the models they use in these situations,and they mention Snow showers in the N and E again
