  1. Coldest ever uppers were approaching -22c in 87 in East Anglia I think with ground temps max of around -7
  2. Hope if we get this 2nd Siberian attack, that those places that missed most of the snow, like me,get a proper dumping next week,or I will be extremely hacked off
  3. March 2013 produced powder snow here mid March,on the South East Coast! and this cold blast looks colder than that.Amazing really. Are we about to see the return of proper winters again.
  4. BOOM YES,looks like those who missed the snow get a second chance.Bitter air moving in AGAIN March the new winter month
  5. trouble is these true Siberian blasts are very rare.i very much doubt next winter we will see the Siberian high anywhere near UK.thats why so disappointing to miss out on the heavy snow.very unusual to see low pressure that tracks NW normally they track NE or along the channel.or fail to.hit the uk in the first place, when we have the Siberian high on charge.check the archives. oh well maybe in 20 years time we will see the Siberian high return....
  6. A massive letdown here.Missed out on the snow, just a dusting. Always on the fringes ,whatever angle the snow came from. You couldn’t make it up,so frustrating. Thats the last time I ever go chasing a cold spell in the winter ever again. First Siberian Blast for over 20 years as well. Thats me done here.Over and out.
  7. So disappointing here.Only received a dusting.Missed out on the snow, whatever angle it came from. Only depth of cold was remarkable and seeing icicles hanging off cars whilst driving around was amazing. Couldnt even build a flipping snowman or go sledging on the Downs. All that chasing the Easterly all winter and when it finally arrived, pathetic. Last time I ever go chasing a cold spell in the winter again. First true Siberian blast in over 20 years too. March 2013 delivered far more in depth of snow. Goodbye Winter 2018.Utterly pathetic in the end. Over and flipping out .
  8. But once sun goes down, temps will plummet, will be chaos once everything freeze over latrr
  9. Met office say showers in the channel coming inland later when the wind switches, very i unusal to see snow off the channel
  10. Going to be some really low temps tonight, winds turned more Easterly ,better for everyone
  11. So nice and dry just brush it of the car or the drive ,nice to drive on too
  12. Amazing see people throwing toys out the Pram,as they missed the snow met office forecast spot in if you read their warnings on website
  13. You forecast this week away so very impressed by that. hope you don’t stop posting ,think SW could still get blizzard end of week
  14. Well temps are about 8 or so degrees below normal,so it is unusually cold ,by a big margin ,lol showers are just hit and miss I’m afraid, only 1 cm here ,Maidstone 10cm is it ? OR more ?
  15. About a cm but looks beautiful so nice and dry, wish we had this once every winter ,not every 20 years sadly
  16. Yes here now ,not sure about end of the week, models all over the place ,dreadful performance, can’t cope if weather goes completely against the norm, with a jeststream from the NE lol
  17. It’s painfully slow ,is that real, because not a cloud in the sky -4.3 outside
  18. What a shambles, gfs has been utterly clueless in this position of the low pressure ,look where it is now compared to earlier runs. Be surprised if they didn’t give it completely overhaul , Like has been said before, probably only hit SW before retreating away S ,don’t think their be a big blizzard across the S now, maybe just SW,at most.
  19. The models been all over the place with the track of the low, look at the track now to where they thought it would be ,it’s miles further South,I wouldn’t trust any forecast ,until about 12hours away
