My 10 day forecast in my location has a best minimum of 1c as the and the best max 4c. However usually hovering around 6c or 7c.
I just not seeing where the model hype is coming from.
A cool down and dry is forecast next 10 days temps marginally below average.

BBC still has wide spread 5c to 7c over the next week over large parts of the country.
Won't get too excited yet

Just read through 7 pages on the Model Output thread covering the last 6hrs !
The charts are good, bad indifferent . Winters over ,cold delayed
So much conflicting drama, one liners and and different takes on the same model. Enough to give you a headache.
I love it

A question... why oh why are there so many post concerning things past 3-5 days that there may be a colder period of weather ?? After so many years here now I still cannot understand how the slide rule of FI goes from 5 days to 10 and yet no one ever, ever really thinks that at day 8-10 the models will materialise into what they are forecasting. I would just like to see a post that says come Thursday the 4th the weather actually matches the models and be it snow/rain/mild/cold/windy/dry/foggy/ or whatever type of weather, the models actually forecasted it. It really is beyond me that people are pinning their hopes on a computer model to predict the weather. Mother nature will do what it does regardless of a computer telling it what it might want to do. My whole point is that lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. day by day trends in the right direction will be the way ahead not week by week
It's a model output discussion thread?
In 1990s had the country file weekly forecast.
I know what I prefer

I LOVE the 3.30 am sunrises in June - best time of the year! I hate darkness in any shape or form.
Feels like the start of a beautiful poem.

Watch the latest 10 day trend from Exeter. About three quarters way through 7.08 min they almost dismiss the GFS and make comment to its lower resolution for the UK
That's 3 days ago ?

I remember snow falling here on Tuesday and Wednesday 4th and 5th April but not laying.
I also remember 2 really good storms on the afternoon of July 6th (homegrown) and overnight into the 7th (think from a plume). Maybe a forgotten event this one, might have just been a local occurrence.
I lived in Woking. I remember it as it was so odd for April

Remember going to work April 1989 in the snow.

Absolutely! Nothing more ridiculous than people posting 300hr precip and snow accum charts - and the same people still do it every year.
But even a broken clock has to be right once every 30 years ?
