  1. Currently -0.7c here. I do wonder if the Thursday night snow will amount to much.... either the band won’t travel further east enough or the amount will be minimal. Sunday is projected to turn mild. Hope it’s short lived.
  2. It's time to inject a bit of life into this forum isn't it? Lots of indications that we're on track for a colder than average next few months. This morning was a shock to the system, although no frost around these parts. Maybe by the weekend, when another cold front floods south?
  3. It always feels like we're future gazing... Cold potential for next weekend?
  4. A proper chill in the air from about 3 this afternoon. Temp here -2.4°C been steady for a few hours.
  5. BBCWeather on Radio 4 just now talked of rain from the west on Monday. Hoped for better out of this cold spell. Some hail/snow last night but all driven on a very strong wind and with temps no lower than 1c there was no freeze. Even tonight temps widely 4c across the county.
  6. Currently 2.7c with a dew point of 0.2c... Could we be unlucky out west?
  7. Dew point is now -0.2c Air temp +1.6c. Mainly clear skies.
  8. There are plenty of showers headed your way, and temps are falling behind them.
  9. precipitation seems to have moved away from the south west now. ;(
  10. Latest here, the dew point has dropped about .5c in the last hour. Current obs: Dewpoint: 0.4c Temp: 2.4c RH: 87%
  11. Even Derek Brockway is tweeting about a cold spell next week. Must be a good sign!
  12. Guess, we'll have to wait a little bit longer...
  13. A nice bit of snow/hail in the mix, with even a temporary covering here. A dusting over the Preselis. Pretty windy and a significant windchill. The dangler is nothing more than big clouds now, will it return?
  14. Lots of end of the month cold chatter on Twitter... Let's liven this place up a little...
  15. This page is really slowing down now. C'mon guys, we don't just have to chat about the snow... although with high pressure in charge, the weather isn't going to be that exciting. Enjoy the sunshine!
  16. A nice covering when I got home from work. A good inch or even two! That and a bit more judging by the pics I've seen from North Pembs. Showers seem to have lightened now. The moon is just behind some very thin cloud. Temp: -0.6°C DP: -1.4°C. Drier but colder this week. No complaints about the cold now..!
  17. The dangler is delivering the white stuff!
  18. It looks like West is Best.. http://www.westerntelegraph.co.uk/news/county/11765800.Heavy_snow_showers_cause_difficult_conditions_in_north_Pembrokeshire/?ref=rss&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=facebook
  19. Some shower activity across the west this evening. Has been falling as snow here.
  20. Much chillier here tonight now the wind has dropped. Dew point down to -2°C also. Earlier showers have all been if snow, just not potent enough. High pressure this week will chill things down nicely, a good set up for whatever comes next.
  21. Finished ranting already after only 7 posts... That's rubbish! 😉You're in Swansea... Hardly the cold and snow capital of Wales or the UK for that matter. I agree that the weather warnings have been over cooked the whole way through this one, as a nation we're hysterical over the weather disrupting anything. I'd have thought there should have been a wind warning out for the west coast/hills it brought trees down and some travel disruption. Maybe our memories of our last snowy adventures two years ago have gone all rose tinted. Snow is a rareish commodity.
  22. Weafher station showing a windchill of -11 here last night - in the very strong winds it was COLD Should've popped in for s cuppa! There have been a frost day or two. But I agree. The constant hail / snowy mix is annoying. Although we've fad several dustings since Christmas.
  23. Andy, I think there were some glitches with the earlier warnings. Odd gaps in the maps. This seems to overlap the two main areas. Odd hail showers here. But they eventually melt. Really gusty winds.
  24. Temps here: 3.3°C Dew point -0.2°C. Falling dew point is an improvement.
