The sea swell is supposed to be quite powerful with the next depression. Could cause some issues I guess.
Plenty of squally conditions here yesterday and first thing this morning with hail and lightning.
Calmer from afternoon and a good deal chillier!!
The location of those sites, so close to the sea does slightly skew the reality. It was much cooler further inland, and we had a good covering of frost on the cars this morning.
Out west the wind has been howling all day. Really squally showers too.
Not cold enough here. Temps at 4°C so can't see any wintry ppn. But the showers are fairly fast moving so maybe if a more organised band came this way....?
Well spotted! Is that sleet?
2°C here now. So temps have dropped since I got home from work. It was around 5°C then.
Paths are drying now so can't see much in the way of a frost developing for the time being here.
Far from drizzle here. Wind has really picked up since the last lot of rain showers passed through so it's feeling much much colder.
Dry and clear now.
The outlook for the end of October seems to be milder than of late and changeable. Allsorts of predictions coming - there does seem to be an indication from more than one direction of blocking being a significant factor this winter.
Snow here down west very early this morning, gave a good covering and then the rain pepped up. Didn't expect to see any as it was progged as an eastern affair. So always welcome to see. Pretty cold feeling all day bit it would be nice to have some sunshine - just one day!
