  1. Your memory serves you correctly, snow graupel swishing along the road for a few days before the main course
  2. GEM has next to no chance of verifying sy 120z Not one GEF has separated the chunk s/sw
  3. Forecast according to GEFS ensembles. Easterley winds running through Germany (Berlin) Possibly touching our East coast but no further(Norfolk and West Yorks).Scandi high building and decaying somewhat.(Helsinky)
  4. Unfortunately the drum you are beating is downwind of the easterly and not being heard.I will take a boring Easterly to start with.
  5. Scandi high takes a deep breath and puffs its chest out laughing at the Atlantic....is that all you've got big lad?
  6. Not even Mr Trump will stop this Migration from the East That cold pool on the Scandi flank will find it's way here sooner or later
  7. All the update does is mention wet and windy and milder in the West. It constantly refers to the East being cooler and with more frequent periods of cold in the East.Maybe I am reading it wrong. This is usually how the Met portray impending easterly influences
  8. It is laughable on here sometimes Dreaded mild Easterly and the fear of a low forming in the North Sea....which will sling snow at us anyway
  9. I will take that miss. The East could take a pounding over the next week or two.
  10. Cold running along the base of our developing Scandi heading for the Channel Ferry not the North Sea
  11. Meet Spoilers arch enemy.....Trigger East meets West coming to a window near you soon
  12. Coffee has been smelt wafting on an Easterly breeze at Exeter East meets West a possibility
  13. I much prefer to pick out the positives from this mornings runs, without getting too carried away.
  14. So as it stands this is our worst case longer range scenario A disrupting/sliding against the block situation, either way it will not be mild and I think the METs forecast will be edging toward that too.
  15. UKMO 144 ECM 144 GFS 144 so it is a slower evolution Still only one winner when DENSE cold is in situ if you run the sequence from 192z http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?&ech=192&mode=0
  16. You have to remember that strange features will always develop in our location when deep cold is involved.Only a few years ago a low moved UP the North sea out of the Benalux into very cold air producing Orographic snowfall. Someone may be able to find it in the archives.Met now saying colder by Sunday. GOT IT Jan 2013 similar initial set up low in Atlantic.Edit not convinced this was the one but who cares
