  1. Perhaps because it can still snow in March fairly easily and these are very interesting outputs we are viewing, and being people who are interested in the weather we are finding this period interesting! If there is no warmth on the horizon, may aswell chase this.
  2. UKMO at 120 - Scandi heights rising at 144? Still no agreement on more specific locations of troughing yet.. lets see what the ECM throws at us. GFS hi res looks to be building NE'ern heights.
  3. Pub run is good but isnt half dragging it out! Quite amusing to see the jet stream giving up and heading off back west past the S tip of Greenland!
  4. Seem to be some heavier radar returns heading into our region, nice heavier one just gone over petersfield, any reports?
  5. Guys, the frontal stuff seems to not be reaching shore but the stream of showers are heading right across and battering a line from say chelmsford to portsmouth (they are heading for the hants region) Steve, is this expected to continue and justify the meto warnings or are the warnings for frontal rather than convective snow?
  6. Im in Rowlands Castle and its not laid on the roads to any significant depth either but we have 7cm lying snow.
  7. Looking at the meteogroup app it seems to be intensifying on the northern edge sort of in line with where the streamer would extend down to and coming back into hamsphire, 4/10 and very windy at the moment currently -2
  8. Snow has turned heavier here in the last 15 mins - easy 4/10, finally settling on the patio! Temp -1.7 DP - 5.7 Windchill -6.8
  9. Seems to be over for the far western areas i.e. Hampshire - You guys in West sussex and eastwards seem to be in for a right pasting tonight though..!
  10. Well there is meant to be a heavier pulse coming up the channel later this afternoom, although the snow here has increased in intensity recently.
  11. I can't understand some of you guys negativity - its only the start, you were never meant to have 10cm by this time in the morning. Wait till 7:38pm then re judge how crap this event was! I've currently got two centimeters im about 7 miles inland.
  12. Woken up to a good couple of cm, grass nearly covered, weirdly its blowing snow aswelll which is twice i've had that this winter, rare for march i would thing! temp -1 dp -3
  13. I know its only an app on my phone, but running the meteogroup app the low does seem to be heading more for the NW peninsula of france rather than due east..

  17. http://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/atlantic/#type=prec ECM seems to provide a good snow event for the south coast.
  18. http://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/atlantic/#type=prec ECM actually gives the South coast a fairly good event.
