    I see this year on year about the pressure/temp measurements on the Greenland plateau. Surely not that difficult to fix by adding new data gathering points in this part of the world? Or is it just a myth rolled out every time? If it's a depth through the FEA that is the problem then a localised fix could be used.

    Very bizarre light here today. Like others have said, a green / yellow hue and very dusklike. Humid feeling wind blowing. It feels a bit like the Apocalypse!

    Crazy, intense rain outta nowhere. (near Watchet) I love the summer months. A packet of warm air just passed over, I reckon, lots of PE in a tiny packet. Heading east now

    No disrespect to your setup, but a sensor for rain/depth/time has got to be pretty tricky. I've often wondered how accurate these off the shelf stations could be. First rumble just heard here.

    The skies to the south of Bristol are spectacular tonight. Reminds me of a Med Storm approaching (when in the Med). lntense trough/squall heading north. Loads of strikes on blitzortung. WOW!

    I saw snow lying on the grass last night and I saw it falling through the cold air. That's no mean feat for the SW. Let's pluck up the courage and see this through until winter's end. A beast of cold air to our North @144 ECM As the vortex migrates so we will get another chance.

    Interesting warm anomaly over G but it's small, dense, and tightly packed. All surrounding areas can swamp it by orders of magnitude, but we all know they won't.

    CC but doesn't that show us a bit too far out of the pattern? Weakish low height anomalies in the middle Med puts us pretty much where we are now. I'd like more of a smiley mouth and a flat nose.

    I sympathise. There's just no precip about for us in the west. Also, I bet your ground temps (progged 0 - 1) are being modified by a degree or 2 by the urban heat effect.

    Not seeing much noticeable change in the moon tonight. It is shrouded in fast-moving clouds, though... and beautiful. Maybe some flutters tomoz early morn if that stuff NE of The Wash makes it......

    Not convinced by the Jetstream pushing across us so forcefully 120 – 192. Nor am I buying the stagnancy of the Greeny surface High from T60+ I feel Low heights will vacate that area towards Siberia much more quickly than progged. It’s like a log-jam area that the models cannot get a handle on yet.

    All three big guns looking to build heights NW at 144. Hope we will see this trend develop over next couple of days: UKMO ECM GFS I'm still holding out for some late Feb snow.
