Yorkshire was actually favoured to be the hottest district today. Doncaster was my favourite. -
I’ve always stood by, and maintain the fact that Rhyl is one of the sunniest and often warmest places in the UK!

Even Anglesey and Caernarfon are reporting much higher than you, with 30C and 33C, respectively! Can see the blue sky clearance. Here it comes. The UK temp record (old one) will be broken IMBY today!

Latest Met Office forecast has delayed the cold front by two hours.

27.9C in the shade already. Wow.

Met Office has us dropping 6C between midday and 3pm. Regardless of what high resolution models are showing, I can’t see tomorrow being hotter than today here.

We had a 30 min period of cloud. It hindered the temp. It fell a bit. 33.7C. Doubt it’ll rise anymore. 3C cooler than forecast. Then again. Even Liverpool airport is at 35C. Maybe my station is underreporting And so is the weather obs

Bit of a ‘downgrade’ for tomorrow now. Hot air being swept away much sooner with the emphasis on east of the Pennines for the highest temps. Still make it to 36-38 here though. 40 out of reach now.

Update: the cumulus died a terrible, terrible evaporative death. Clear blue skies ensue.

Observation: it’s currently 999C, the mod thread is going mad as tomorrow has downgraded to 1000C toys are flying out of the pram Knocking on the 34C door now. Lots of cumulus popping up. Going to hinder the rise somewhat.

Highest temps of the day under normal circumstances in summer are always between 3-5pm. Don’t think it’ll make a word of difference though. Take those temps, add 1-3C on. That’s the real maxima for the day

This air has come directly from the continent. The long journey over the Spanish plains and land of the French. It’s dry. Super dry. Clouds will be punished for even trying to exist in this airmass. Clear blue skies is the form horse for the day

We had a decent sleep. Partially thanks to my air con unit. lol. Similar to another report here, we hit 33.5C yesterday. Today, we have no clouds from the off and the temp is already at 25C. Gonna be 36-38C today easily. 40C tomorrow is still on the cards for sure. Heat will be swept away by 7pm, which suits me. Still gonna be a warm night tomorrow.

26.5C todays max. Gonna feel cool compared to the next 3 days! Spent £400 on an air conditioning unit. Gonna be so worth it.

Does anyone else’s town have those idiotic chavs that wear coats all summer, no matter how hot? Grinds my gears, every summer, 30C out, yet you’re wearing your North Face parkour as a symbol that you’re ‘hard’
