  1. The bits in the Irish Sea should be soon, but it's late arriving. If this is what the Met Office call light snow (i.e. 12 flakes a minute) then I'm just gonna log off for the night hahaha
  2. To illustrate my point @ Peter. Play the radar back, 30 mins ago vs now. The front is beginning to become reinvigorated as it crosses the sea. Now GROWING and INTENSIFYING.
  3. Won't weaken too much over water. It will over land.
  4. Forgive my ignorance. But how in gods name can this miss your location? As has been said, ignore the bloody app, it's useless! And look out the window and at the radar. There's a blob the size of a sea sat out in the Irish sea with all of our names on. Just because you're not in the warning area doesn't mean anything either. The met office issued a red warning in 2010 for here, AFTER the snow had started. They themselves have said they basically can't work this one out. So chill out, look at the radar, and stop moaning
  5. Good! The lower the temperature the better! Dewpoints around the region are well into sub-zero figures. Not a problem with this, it'll be snow all the way. It's just the precipitation that's bothering me!
  6. It's a complex low this. If the met office aren't confident enough to call this even 3 hours away, then what chance do we have? Haha! That lot behind the system is showers by the way, for those asking. Isn't part of this front and won't make it across Ireland.
  7. I'm in liverpool City centre no precipitation all day. Feels bitter though. PPN heading in a weird direction. Can't work out where the hell it's going. But there's a low behind it, so it looks like it'll move past the region, leaving a covering, and then come back to add to it further.
  8. Sorry to hear about the sledge! At least now you can guarantee that it'll snow!
  9. Further upgrades to the Met Office forecasts (5 day, hourly). Check now.
  10. I think you guys in manchester will get some regardless. Topographic lift is a fantastic thing
  11. 0.9C here. Shouldn't go past 2C today, Suns out though now! Lovely looking day
  12. You guys in manchester had the best of the snow from the Irish sea over the weekend. Only fair we in the west get some now isn't it?
  13. Again, read the warning. And read what I put before the warning was issued Emphasis on no marginality and snow sticking easily due to cold ground temperatures. It's frozen, the front is also coming at a cold time of day.
  14. You are never happy! Are the prospects of 8-15cm of snow not good enough?! Chief forecaster says IT may be updated again later. Also, emphasises WESTERNMOST areas. This bodes well for coastal areas, suggesting they aren't expecting marginality.
  15. DUST THAT SLEDGE OUT! ITS COMING! Ps: chief forecaster sounding confident that an amber warning will be issued later today within that yellow warning
  16. I must visit this North Weat England!! Re snow sticking: ground temperatures are good, it should have no problem sticking
  17. Well considering it's not forecast to arrive for 18 hours, I'd say that's good.
  18. Met office have Runcorn down for heavy to light snow from 9pm - 7am!!!!! Dianne wouldn't DARE go past 17:00hrs tomorrow on her forecast map, the mild ramping coward.
  19. Moisture from the North Sea. Can see clearly on the radar exactly where the moisture is coming from. Showers becoming reinvigorated as they leave the Pennines, then die a quick death.
  20. Had more snow than you this winter. It'll snow here. NMM says so
  21. Raining in liverpool. Cold air still in place too. Doesn't bode well does it
