  1. Looking poor for Tuesday on the NMM. Nothing for our region essentially, haha!
  2. There's two threads anyway for that. Keep the threads the way they are. No one would post in the general model thread if the cold aspect was taken elsewhere in the winter.
  3. Had nothing today! Dry all day. Snow Tuesday though. Fun!
  4. Not an official ice day temp has to stay at -0.1C or below all day
  5. 2.3C with still around an inch of snow on the grass and a harsh frost. Interestingly, surrounding areas are at 6-7C?! No idea what's going on there. This was taken an hour ago: I went to Snowdonia yesterday, surprisingly, there's more snow in Runcorn than there was half way up the mountain at around 600M. The peaks looked caped in snow though! Got a lot more pictures but there's a select three
  6. Patchy snow outside still, probably a couple of cm still on the grass. Was a thaw today, helped on by some light sleet showers in the morning. Not been a very sunny day either, and now the frosts aren't looking particularly harsh. Another poor cold spell.
  7. Ahem, well considering our biggest EVER snowfalls have come from that annoying puddle, then I'll not be going B&Q for that rock anytime soon!
  8. Temp hasn't moved for about an hour now. 1.2C with a slight melt going on. The rain has stopped though now, so what we have is safe until at least tomorrow afternoon
  9. We've done brilliantly man! Much better than expected, the Met Office were bang on with their prediction today, so fair play to them. It started much earlier than I expected too!
  10. No, the back edge stuff is mainly of rain as the evaporative cooling effect is lost, and a westerly element to the wind is attained. It's been sleeting here for over an hour, lightly as the temperature has rose. We're up to 1.3C now, the dewpoint is creeping higher and higher. We had 2 inches, a little more on the grass. Fantastic stuff, but the back edge is rain/sleet.
  11. Sleeting away now, just went for a drive which was awesome fun!
  12. Front is back-building slightly Ste, any snow falling there still?
  13. Yes it may fall as rain though, I'm unsure, Met Office say rain. Should still be snowing over Manchester airport now? A small area developing behind what we have now, won't be as heavy but I'd expect more on and off for the next few hours.
  14. Front backbuiding, more to come over next few hrs.
  15. Hahaha! We haven't had any snow for two years mate, this is the first time in a good while we've had it. Not much on the radar but massive flakes falling again, with heavy snow. 0.4C.
  16. What I find VERY VERY interesting, is that the Met Office computer which has just updated, goes for heavy PPN AGAIN for 2300hrs, 0000hrs and 1am, 3 more hours of heavy snow, now where's that gonna come from? They MUST be expecting this front to backbuild or something, the GFS(P) also suggests PPN becoming heavy again around 9pm.
  17. Just getting heavier again now, fantastic
  18. There's some showers forming in the Irish Sea, now that'll be interesting...
  19. 0.3C & steady. Clear skies behind the front. -4C anyone?
