  1. From the other side of the pennines I took earlier, a good 7-10cm here Manchester looks to be doing really well if the radar is anything to go by
  2. Pictures from earlier. 6-7cm on the ground Up to 10cm on the grass
  3. Agree you all deserve to miss the snow lol. Usually it's a level playing field but for some reason last year it was typical for here to see 5-10cm while parts of Sheffield at the same elevation would see 20-30cm.
  4. Snowing well here, nice sized flakes all surfaces covered
  5. Possibly the most eastward extent looking over Southern Scotland which puts South and West Yorkshire in the sweet spot.
  6. What's the first line of your postcode? Or do you live near a village etc cos I have no idea where you are. Send it this way!
  7. Talk about gutting for North West England, I know I shouldn't laugh but it never ever goes in there favour. When they do do see precipitatio the northwest winds are too mild so it falls as rain and when it looks good it hits the statically snowy western parts of Yorkshire.
  8. The radar isn't lying the precipitation is evaporating before it hits the ground.
  9. The front should hit Leeds in the next few hours possibly earlier. It's kinda mild atm at 2.c I would imagine low lying West Yorkshire is at 3.c. Shouldn't be an issue but may take a little time for the snow to settle on low ground judging by the reports of snowing but no laying on the north west forum.
  10. The area over the Scottish border is pushing well East I'm struggling to see why some aren't optimistic.
  11. It looks knife edge for us in West Yorkshire. We'll see.
  12. I think what doesn't help is this year we have too much data, it's great we have so many high resolution models available but they always show differing output. From past experience the EURO4 is the best of the bunch.
  13. Well I would hope you been on a weather forum you would also make use of plethora of data available to you on Net Weather and meteociel. http://expert-images.weatheronline.co.uk/daten/proficharts/en/euro4/2016/01/15/basis18/ukuk/prty/16011618_1518.gif http://expert-images.weatheronline.co.uk/daten/proficharts/en/euro4/2016/01/15/basis18/ukuk/prty/16011700_1518.gif EURO4 is an upgrade though the feature looks and light in nature.
  14. The other high resolution models don't show the snow signal highlighted on the EURO4. I usually would side with the EURO4 but I suspect it will drop the signal. For Monday the NMM shows the front decaying and fragmenting by the time it reaches Yorkshire as per the ECM
  15. Nightmare! I'm in London on that dayreturning in the evening, I hope the output pushes the front back by 10 hours.
  16. Monday is interesting but ECM is having none of it with the front straddling across the Irish Sea resulting in Yorkshire seeing the fragmented remnants.
  17. Windy with light to moderate snow. Doesn't look like it wants to settle, it's just so windy. Still time tho.
  18. Snow line maybe a touch higher up, I don't think the airmass is colder here. Im technically at 190m (up the road peaks at 210). I reckon if something heavier comes it'll be of snow.
  19. Sporadic bursts of light snow. Could get interesting later on if the stream of showers pushes well inland. LBA weather station history shows it alternating between snow and rain for the last few hours. Needs to pickup in intensity.
  20. Then low is further north so it would appear the warmer air has reached south Yorkshire.
