Dray all day at work but the clouds over towards home looked black and then just before I could get out of the car is started peeeeeeing down.
Plenty of thunder now and torrential rain, just hope it clears the air because it’s certainly ruined my plans for the evening.
-
Sky looked dark and threatening on the way home from work but it’s cleared through now without rain and the sun is out again.
A very humid feel to the day though and although I can’t see us getting much in the way of storms here there’s always a chance while it’s that way.

Weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain across most of the region on Friday so it looks like any hopes of a better end to the week have gone belly up.
I think Eno also mentioned it just now although I try to not get to deeply into an Equator forecast.

Decent morning but along with most, a wet period during the afternoon although dry again now.
hopefully this is as bad as it gets this week and we can have a return to some sunshine.
-
No rain from the threatening looking skies and now the sun is trying its damdest to come back out so my drought looks like it will continue into a fifth day.
-
Another sunny day here but it looks like it’s going to peeeeeeeeee it down now.
cooler than the last couple of days though, only reached 19c after 27c on Sunday and 24c yesterday.

Yep not had that awful muggy humid feeling yet. The warmth has been easily tolerated with a refreshing breeze now & then to cool things down a little. Still not summer and no signs at present of the jet stream sinking south to spoil things......yet.
4 months of this and then an Indian summer and i’ll be happy.
i’m not being greedy though, mid 20’s C will suit me fine and they can even throw in a weekly dose of rain so long as it’s overnight during the week.

Could do with a good storm clear the air and I don't like thunder and lightning
Nowt wrong with the air up here.
blue skies, hardly a cloud and a decent breeze to stir it up, I think you need to leave the Burnley smog mate and head a few miles south up into the hills

26.5 here knackered as back from 3 days in New York
Aye, it’s a brilliant place to go but hard graft.

Upside down wishbone.
I’m quite happy to be outside of the warning area and basking in sunshine but i’ll cross a couple of fingers for you.

An absolutely fantastic days weather here on Sunday and not a drop of rain until after dark which even then hardly wet the ground.
just a shame that someone decided to have a full blown rave in their garden, finding ten hours of the crappest music ever put together and then blasting it through a speaker the size of a garden shed.
what is it with this obsession that hot weather and loud music must go together.

Nice to come back from a hot week in Turkey to a heatwave here, maybe not just as hot sat out in the garden this afternoon but a couple of bottles of real ale certainly beats what passes for beer over there.
-
Well that’s it, all packed and ready for Manchester Airport in the morning and a sneaky weeks holiday in Turkey.
just hope it’s a wedding free zone in terminal 1 but not expecting to be that lucky.

Well it's only 15C outside but in the strong May sun it feels a good deal warmer than that. Not a bad Sunday afternoon.
Agreed, a couple of chilly starts have turned into warm feeling sunny afternoons although the actual temperatures have only been mid teens.
anyway only 5 days left to work before what should be a hot, hot, hot weeks holiday in Turkey.

Not a bad day ,rain has finally arrived.
Started at 5 here, it’s not heavy but pretty miserable out now.

Eno Equator has just said that it’s been a lovely day today.
Well unless it was sunshine I was getting soaked through with early this morning and again this afternoon and the water running down the Irwell was Mountain Dew then I think there were some slight variations across the region.
credit where it’s due though, decent enough now although a bit coolish.

Scraping ice off the windscreen in May, not what I wanted after what seems to have been months of dreary weather.
other than the few days around the end of Feb - beginning of March and a repeat a couple of weeks later it’s never been overly severe but, ignoring the various calendar options of what is classed as winter, I can’t remember one which has lasted as long as this one with Snow every month from November to April and now frost from October through to May.

Other than feeling cold in the shade, another decent day here and once we can get tomorrow’s and Wednesdays rain over with it’s hopefully an ever improving picture as the BH weekend approaches.
-
It may have been mainly sunny this afternoon but sat in the shade at the football, it felt damned cold and certainly not the conditions i’d be hoping for as we approach May.
-
Plenty of high cloud here now but still pretty sunny and at 22c, a lovely day to be outside.

Grass cut and strimmed so as far as i’m concerned, the storms can start lining up although I can’t see my wife and daughter being that happy wandering around Manchester in the pouring rain.

Glorious sunshine tonight and seems like a pretty good risk of thunderstorms this evening, Metoffice putting them mostly in the east of the region, but all areas are probably around 20-30% risk of a storm from later on this afternoon (some saying possibly from 2pm, but I think more around 4pm onwards).
Yeah a lovely start to the day and then the chance of it going out with a bang later.
IMBY i just hope that the storms stay away until this evening so I can get a decent days work done in the garden but after the poor start to spring so far, the last few days have been fantastic and certainly a welcome bonus.

Looking at the radar this storm is moving nowhere fast and I am right under the brightest colours.
it has eased off a fair bit but is still hammering it down and with the heat and sun trying to come out it feels like the Caribbean.
