  1. Still very marginal down in the Glen Almond. Temperature +0.6C/-0.2C (-0.2C/hour). Snow is lying much more easily up on the A85 Crieff road and especially on the M90 past Broxden roundabout. This is the usual scenario for these parts in these synoptics.
  2. No green Aurora for St Patrick's Day tonight then Lorenzo. Cloud in for the duration - as usual! http://spaceweather.com/gallery/index.php?title=aurora&title2=lights
  3. Precipitation has started (2mm/hour) and temperature is going down fast to currently 3.3C/1.8C (-1.0C/hour).
  4. I have never seen a change of that extent ever in 40+ years weather watching. If accurate that was phenomenal BUS.
  5. Maximum today was 5.4C with 3.3mm of rain (8.4mm yesterday). Currently 4.3C/+2.6C so no snow conducive conditions anywhere near here I'm afraid.
  6. As in the last three years, Summer has officially been cancelled.
  7. Maximum yesterday got up to +6.3C melting all remaining snow around Perth. The minimum Monday night was -6.0C so quite a 24 hour differential. Dundee on the other hand still had substantial areas of >1" snow around Downfield etc. in part probably due to it having been cloudy most of the day. Minimum last night was -1.6C at 07.28.
  8. Minimum last night -7.0C at 06.56 the coldest this Winter. Maximum today +2.9C at 13.43. Working in Cupar today and it was a fantastic snowy drive through Abernethy and Newburgh. Snow still lying thick in Fife coming home but largely gone around Perth.
  9. False alarm Tim wind has now backed NE - NNE so showers are missing Perth just like earlier this morning.
  10. Both sides of the Tay getting a good pasting from the radar and Traffic Cams.
  11. Yes very fine snow but everywhere now white LS and two more showers en route.
  12. With sunset the intensity of those showers in the North Sea certainly has diminished markedly. Temperature here started it's decline from 15.30 with the arrival of those frigid uppers. Currently -1.2C/-2.7C (-0.7C/hour).
  13. Heavy granular snow going to big flakes and now smaller flakes. Very little melt from previous 13.00-13.30 shower as sun did not appear. Temp. +1.0C/-0.5C and a stream of showers incoming from North Sea.
  14. Very heavy shower with large flakes has managed to turn all surfaces white after total melt of the shower at 12.30. Temperature +1.4C/-0.2C.
  15. Temperature in that shower that is currently petering out went from +2.9C/+0.6C down to +1.4C/-0.5C.
  16. It will OTR but slowly until after sunset then more markedly. Could be an interesting evening. A very happy Mothers Day to you OTR.
  17. Watching snow fall is one of life's great blessings. Speaking of life's blessings, to all Mums on the Forum, a very happy Mothers Day to you all.
  18. Wind direction has veered ENE so Perth should see more and heavier showers this afternoon. Heavy shower ongoing, starting as graupel but larger fluffy flakes now. Current temperature +2.5C/+0.2C so not lying on roads/pavements. Now very heavy large flakes.
  19. Only flurries in Perth, not lying. Blow-torch in the sky out! Temp. +1.1C/-1.6C. Minimum was +0.7C at 06.47.
  20. Max .today 13.6C at 13.20 but cloud has now rolled in with temperature currently 11.8C. Min. last night -1.7C.
  21. Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant to all on the Welsh Forum. Hope it was a glorious first day of Spring like it was up here in Bonnie Scotland.
