    It's coming allyw, its coming. Showed snow falling over use lightly tonight (that system coming North from Northumberland?) and then heavy snow tomorrow evening from the East and a good way inland.

    Just home from Dundee and what a Forecast on Reporting Scotland. The East is in for it on Friday evening especially. I am working in the Boots Late Store in Albert Street, Dundee until 21.00 so could be an interesting drive home. Also got a phone call this afternoon asking me to cover sickness in Kingussie, in the Cairngorms National Park on Saturday. Question is will I get home if they close the snow gates? Can confirm that the South-easterly wind is strengthening off the Tay in Dundee - I was just wearing my shirt and suit and the wind chill was severe walking down from Perth Road to Riverside Drive.

    No Ice Day today then. Temp. +0.3C/-0.4C (+0.4C/hour). Wouldn't fancy our chances of good dry and powdery snow tomorrow IF it reaches here. Wet claggy stuff the way the temperature is trending. Off to work.

    The radar has been like that all day OTR even over Perth but there has been nothing falling from the sky here and nothing on the Traffic Cams re. Forfar and on up the A90 at the moment.

    Sadly Edo said igloo would require full central heating and a gaming PC with internet connection to shift my 16 and 18 year olds from their rooms!

    My youngest brother back home in Northern Ireland built one for his four children in December 2010 - it was really incredible and I wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't sent the pictures..

    Your challenge for this weekend Edo is to build an igloo for the children. That will have them in a frenzy and ensure they remain snow lovers all their lives unlike my brood! We will require photos of completed challenge!
