    Here are two more pics from Amulree, Perthshire: Amulree (Gaelic: Àth Maol Ruibhe, 'Ford of [st.] Maelrubha') is a small hamlet in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It lies in hilly country on the A822 road, 1 km east of Loch Freuchie in Strathbraan, 8 km west of Dunkeld and 10 km north of Crieff.

    Lightly snowing again and a covering again overnight. Temp. +0.1C/-0.4C.

    Rain totals now: Monday - 15.0mm Today up to 21.00 - 25.3mm No wonder altitude has been dumped! We don't want a rapid thaw with heavy rain. January 2011 with the severe flooding is not needed.

    I wonder what effect the last two weeks have had on Weather Model integrity Edo. Non-verification time after time albeit the general cooler trend was correct. Was the current weather system coming North from Europe modelled at all?

    Wish my call had been way out Edo but I have seen this time and again here. Blizzardo (#519) explains what went wrong to perfection. Lily and yourself will have really amazing memories of the past weekend and that's all that counts. Appetite whetted for a proper dumping now.

    Haven't a clue whether it is fine rain, sleet or snow falling from the sky the last two hours but 24.1mm has fallen since Midnight.

    Radio 2 traffic reporting heavy snow all along A85. My son's British Red Cross meeting in Perth this evening has just been cancelled.

    Snow had lessened but is starting up again - Perthians happy to accept all that is on offer.

    Hopefully not OTR. Temp. has dropped from +1.8C/+1.0C to +0.9C/+0.2C (-0.6C/hour) in the last hour and still snowing heavily. By the way OTR I love it when you stick you tongue out.

    Not even on that high ground Edo. When I was leaving work at 20.00 in the Kingsway Retail Park, it was snowing steadily and accumulating.

    Very heavy sleet here since 14.50. Picked Mrs HS up from work on Crieff Road and it is settling snow up there.

    A lot of precipitaton has fallen - 15.0mm yesterday and so far today 15.7mm. It is a real mess here and likely to freeze in next few days and that will NOT be good. Temp. +2.1C/+1.2C.

    Another 8.1mm of rain since Midnight making a total of 23.1mm since 07.00 yesterday - that could have been amazing snow (probably what places like Braco/Newtyle/Wolfhill are reporting). Temp. Min. +1.1C at 00.00. Now +1.5C/+0.6C. The ground surface is 1cm of slush and very unpleasant to walk or drive on.

    If only, if only - 12.4mm of rain today. That would have been impressive snow had the temperature been 1C colder.
